  • daver412 Jun 03, 2010

Its the original amp this a truly no brand name amp. It says its a 4 channel 2000watt. It has a fan that is working but not enough to keep it cool. Im in southern California and summer is approaching and this is when it over heats a lot. Pretty much just seeing how can you tell an amp can handle

Any amp over 400 watts can power pretty much any sub even one without a sub output just bridge the connection to an amp without sub output. btw a subwoofer does not use as much watts as it says on the sub it usually only take a couple hundred watts to power the sub and make it sound clean

When the amp is hooked up it plays for a while then the voice lowwers down

Its probabley getting too hot and/or a fuse is being tripped reducing the power use untill it cools enough to come back on. ??
Does it come back on by itself? Where is the amp mounted? is there enough cool air flow reaching it? Is the proper sterio interface matched up with the max outputs and inputes? deck could be running too much juice to the amp. a bigger amp could help but try re mounting it in a location that allows for cool air flow to keep it cool. if you were running a sub woofer i bet the bass would cut out...what kind of speakers are you running with that amp and what kind of all has to be compatable with eachothers power outputs etc.

How to change the graphics card software in acer aspire desktop....

You'll just have to know what kind of graphics card expansion slot you have. Older systems have AGP slots & newer ones have PCI-Express. This will help you decide which type of card to install.

Once past that, you would have to physically open up the CPU tower case while the machine is off & unplugged from the power. If it has an existing graphics card, it will have to be removed & the new one will be installed in its place. If you had been using onboard video, make sure to plug the monitor data cable to the NEW video card's VGA slot.

Everything practically plugs into ONE SLOT & only goes in ONE WAY. so if it does not fit, then it's being placed incorrectly. After putting it back together, just restart the machine & insert the installation CD that came with the new video card & follow the program instructions.

Please take note that it may require that the software and drivers previous display adapter will have to be removed first.

My blower motor resistor burned up I'n my 05

Are you putting the right amp fuse in place of that fuse was at ? If you have a fuse that is 5 amps smaller could produce this same problem so go make sure your manual says what amp fuse goes there first. This might solve the issue. Usually if the fuse keeps breaking inside of it means that there might be a short some where else.

What kind of car battery should i buy for my 2000 honda accord

Any good parts store should be able to point you in the right direction. Car batteries come in different series - size, post configurations and cold cranking amps. Prices vary generally due to warranty period - the longer warranty the more expensive. If you plan on keeping car for a long time or if you live in a cold climate, it's best advised to buy the biggest you can afford. If not plan on keeping car long by minimum.

I have a 450.2 Watt Punch Amplifier by Roxford Fosgate that powers a single JL 12" or 13" inch subwoofer, the amplifier used to show the protect, thermal, and power as being on, however during my...

I would have to say you probably have a bad connection on one of the amplifiers wires. (My guess would be the ground.) If you can see the wires on the amp check to make sure they are secure. (Make sure you disconnect the ground from your battery before playing with the wires to make sure nothing gets shorted out or you could even fry something electrical) If all the wires are secured to the amp, if all wires are secure then you can reconnect the battery. The next thing I would do would be to check where the amp is grounded to the car's body. I would have the radio on and wiggle the ground wire (the part attached to the car, not the amp) to see if any lights come on.

Also if you take it in to have someone else look at it, it shouldn't cost a whole lot, just tell them you believe you have a loose wire somewhere.

If you had this installed recently, I would recommend taking it back to where you had it installed and ask if they can look at it for you, and if it was their mistake they should fix it for free. You paid for their services there should be some kind of warrenty on their work.

What kind of oil can i use in my 1999 gs 300 is synthetic oil better or jus use regular oil which do u perfer?

Synthetic oil is better than carbon based oil because it is cleaner, lasts longer, more efficient & wont leave carbon build up like conventional oil. But if you ran regular oil for quite awhile, your engine will have carbon build up. Synthetic oil breaks up the buildup. That is good. Bad thing is sometimes that buildup is keeping you from leaking or burning oil. If you switch to synthetic oil keep an eye on oil consumption. If you start using or leaking it out of gaskets or seals, you will need to get it out & put in regular oil. If not, you can go longer between oil changes & your engine will run more efficiently for a longer period of time.

How do i install an interfire IB2400c amp?

Hello blown1914,

That appears to be a good amp and should power your subs with no problem.

You will want to install a line-level converter to your stock speaker outputs and use RCA cables to the amp. Here's a link to SonicElectronix line-level converters. The PAC SNI-35 is OK if your stock radio has a remote turn-on lead. If not, you should probably look at the PAC TRUNK-LOC. It still a 2-channel line output converter but also includes a trigger output to power on your amp.

I tried Interfire's web site to see if they have a downloadable manual for your IB2400c amp. I could not find it, so it may be that it is no longer in print or no longer available.

You may want to go to their support page (link attached) and send them an email.

Hope this helps.

I need help wiring a Scosche SA-500 amp

OK, you run the RCA's from the stereo to the amp. The black is ground and you want this as short as possible. where you mount the amp the ground wire should be no longer then 2 or 3 feet. red is power that you run to the positive post of the battery. you will want to buy a fuse block to this. if there is a power surge this will stop your car from catching on fire(hopefully). lastly should be your constant, this is a blue wire from your radio to your amp. this tell the amp when the radio turns on and off, with out this your amp will stay on and kill the battery. i would recommend buying a amp install kit, their around 35-250 bucks, but they come with every wire you need to install the amp. Hope this helps. you should be able to get a manual on line i would think.

I have this same problem. You have blown the internal amp. I have had 2 of these do the same thing. There is nothing you can do but report it to infinity and try to get the unit replaced.
