It is spring loaded. use your nial and gently puss it in again a little more and it should click and release out far enough to get a hold of it. that is the way it works same as many newer cameras cards.

DELETING MAPS ON NUVI 40 LM

Plug your GPS into your PC, it will mount as a hard drive. You can then open the folders and delete content. As easier solution is to put a 8gb micro SD card in the SD card slot. Garmin Express will allow you to put additional maps on the SD card.

Micro sd card wont click into place garmin nuvi 2589

On some units, they won't click. You slide the micro SD card into the slot and you will feel a slight resistance. Continue to slide the card in until it stops. It will only slide in one way. This is exactly how the micro SD card slides into a standard SD adapter. There is no click. If you connect the GPS to a PC using the USB data cable, your PC should recognize (2) memory devices; (1) The GPS and (2) the SD card. It may take a few moments. Wait a few minutes until you see both appear in Windows. Always select EJECT or SAFELY REMOVE before you remove the USB data cable.

How instal maps on sd memori card for garmin nuvi 250

Hello

Insert the memory card into the memory card slot on Garmin Nuvi 250 GPS device. The memory card slot is located on the left side of the device. Push the card in until it clicks. (If you inserted a memory card that already has pre-installed maps and files, there is no further action required. The device will access the new maps based on the address you enter.)

Connect the Garmin GPS to the computer using the USB cable. The mini-USB connector will need to be inserted into the rear of the Nuvi 250; the larger end is inserted into the computer's USB port.

Locate the computer file that you want to download to the Garmin memory card. The Nuvi 250 is capable of reading JPEG formatted images and GPX formatted Waypoints and other mapping-related files. Right-click on it. Select "Copy."

Select the "Computer" folder from the computer's desktop Start menu. Double-click on the "Removable Disk" drive that represents the Garmin Nuvi.

Right-click in an empty space within the drive and select "Paste." The files have now downloaded to the memory card and will be accessible through the Nuvi 250 menu options.

Good Luck, and do rate the solution if got help

Will power on, try to load maps, then shuts down. this keeps repeating

Have you an SD card in the slot. If you put a card of too big a capacity in the slot this happens. If you have remove the card or use a lower capacity one and it may solve the problem

Memory card, how does it work and what for?

The SD card slot is there to allow you to expand the memory of your unit so you can play more music files or store more pictures.

It can also be used to add additional map files to your Nuvi. Like if you wanted a map of France, etc.

There is only so much memory on your Nuvi. The SD card slot allows you to expand the memory.

How to get music on to mp3 player in nuvi 660

Your unit appears to have an SD slot. It should be as simple as putting your MP3's on an SD card and then placing the card in the GPS device. You will need an SD card and a reader/writer for your computer to accomplish this.

The Nuvi 350 does have an SD cart slot in the side, which will allow you to purchase maps of other countries on an SD card, and use them in your unit. Garmin has a list of available maps for purchase on their web site.
