Question about John Deere Garden
When i turn the key to start the engine, it justs clicks rapidly but nothing else. It appears its not getting to the starter. A large number of wires go to a box and they go to alot of other components. This box vibrates when the starter is turned to the start position. But the starter does not move or even feel like its getting juice.
Rapid clicking, or buzzing from the relay box when you try to start is usually a symptom of a battery that is discharged. Try jumping the battery from your car or another piece of equipment. If that works, you just need to charge the battery with a battery charger.
It could also be a corroded or loose battery connection - take them off (negative post first), clean them, grease them a bit with vaseline, and tighten them up again (put negative back on last). If still not fixed, it's probably the starter, which will cost a bit more to fix. Good luck! If you found this helpful, please rate my answer, thanks.
