LIghts don't turn on when door opens.

Start by checking the door switch that activates the lights. It may be stuck or have a loose wire.

I have a Dell XPS 600 desktop computer. I cannot get the power to stay on. None of the diagnostic lights light up. I have checked all of the connections and everything is secure.

Here's what to try: Disconnect everything from the motherboard except the CPU and memory. You may leave the video connected to see what, if any, error message you might get.
You didn't say if you got any beeps on startup. They can tell you what might be the problem.
If this doesn't work, remove the memory modules. The power should stay on but you'll probably get either a steady beep or a bunch of little beeps. (I don't have the Dell error codes close at hand at the moment).
If this doesn't work, you have narrowed the problem to one of three things: The CPU, the motherboard, or the power supply.
You didn't mention just what happens when you turn it on--just that it won't stay on. Error messages are helpful if you get any on the screen as are any beep tones.

Ive had this subwofer and systems for 4 or so years and everything was great but now when i turn on the system the subwofer turns on then turns off a second or 2 later. everything else is working great...

Hi.
You have a capacitor that has gone out on your sub, most likely on the power supply board.

Too bad it's not under warranty, you could sent it in for warranty repair work.

But, it's not, so you will have to pay to get it fixed instead.
If you take the sub to Fry's Best Buy, or Radio Shack, they should be able to repair it fairly cheaply, and get you back to having full function of the sub again.

I hope this helps you out, and have a good day.

I've got a Cdx-gt300 series that will not output to the rear or front out jacks on the back. Everything else works fine and the setting is set to sub out, but when connected and the sub is turned up to...

check the sub works with known good signal from different source. if that works and all settings are double checked then you might try to reset the 300 series to factory reset. try to unplug from the 110 outlet then hold the on button down while plugging it back in this should re iniatalize the unit and if it still doesn't work you may have a hardware problem

I have a Peavey 118 Subwoofer and was wondering why it isn't working... I have another one exactly the same so I am sure it has something to do with the sub... I took a look inside and everything seems...

Test the resistance of the speaker with wires disconnected. If it doesn't show around 8 ohms plus or minus 2 ohms, it is probably blown requiring either re-coning or replacement.

Sub-woofer quit working. Fuse is good and LED lights up but nothing works. Took out the amp and found that a ceramic resistor C61 on the board which seems to be a 5W1K ohm gets extreamly hot and the ICB...

if you can look at the underside of the board with the resistor on it, take a magnifying glass and look around the pins poking through from the components. It may be that the heat as unsoldered a component (be it resistor, capacitor or otherwise). Look for gaps in the solder around each pin, and if there are any holes around the pins, try filling them in with a little solder.

The machine showed error code E 20. It just shut off and made a beeping noise during a load we were washing. The lights work but the machine just buzzes when turned on.

Mine was too doing the same thing every now and then it would work depending if i changed the cycles around. I finnally pulled it out to where i could work on it. pulled off the back plate bottom was still partly full of water so tiped it on its side. undid the black hose going from the bottom of the drum. Undid the screw that tightens the clamp this is the fatter part of the black hose , inside this hose is a tube u can slip out it was right full, im gussing it was the filter. Put it back together and works fine now.

No Sound from Jamo E6 Sub

More likely there is a bad solder connection or a bad connector contact inside the unit, could also be a blown or dried up electrolytic capacitor.

Check the line signal input plugs, if they are soldered directly to the board then check the solder around the pins - if it has circular cracks, you need to resolder the pins.

Also check any other components on the board for such cracks on the pins, including internal connectors, disconnect, clean the pins if necessary and reconnect them.

If any electrolytic capacitors have a bulged top, they are blown and need to be replaced.

It could as well be something else, but your description suggests either a fault at the input connectors or some trouble with the input signal level sensing circuitry (no signal to the sensing circuit may be caused by connectors, no response from the sensing circuit may be caused by bad capacitors or other faulty components in or around that section).

Hope you can find out what it is and fix it...
