Hello, the F5 beeping is all about the Push button stuck.
Check for the binding of Push button and control panel glass. If OK,replace the touch panel.
Thanks

SOURCE: self cleaning F5

Hi,

Sorry you haven't had an answer to your inquiry yet. You may not even require a remedy any longer, but in the event you do I'll post it.

The "F5" in the smw272 wall unit is indicating the on-board watchdog has detected a oven temperature sensor fault/failure. The remedy issued by Thermador's tech support and authorized technicians service manual's is to first replace the oven temperature sensor. If the display should still display after wards, replace the main relay board.

It may be too late to suggest, but you may be best served having an authorized thermador tech look at it.

Hope that helps, better late than never hopefully.

SOURCE: i used the self cleaning oven and now it wont

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

Hello,
The F5 ERROR code means that the self check that the control (also called clock)board runs to check itself has failed and the control has detected a problem within itself and the control must be repalced.

Selfcleaning won't come on E1 F5 keeps flashing with a beep

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F5-E1 means that the door latch/switch has gone bad or is not operating. To resolve this issue check the door latch and replace if its not working. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Displays F-5 and beeping

Hello- Sorry - no good news here. The code described- F5 - indicates control board failure. The only solution is to replace the clock timer. Part is about 150$.  Installation is fairly easy, if cost is justified. These computers are the weakest link in modern ovens. If you do go with repair, avoid using the 'self-clean' function. This is the usual cause of control failure. Please acknowledge this post if informative.- Thanks-  Ed

During selfceaning cycle F5 and beeping occured, removed power and powered back on and it seems to be ok, however I haven't tryed the self cleaning yet.

possibly a door latch issue depending on your brand , this is common during self clean dont self clean unless u have to those ovens get close to 1000F so melting of some parts is inevatible.. did it flash f5 and then an error code like e1 or e2 that would direct us to possible more solutions, or it might blown a thermostat more likely on a wall oven and not a range.
