1 The inserted Memory Stick media is not supported for use with the camera.
2 The terminals on the Memory Stick media are dirty.
3 The Memory Stick media is damaged
1 Ensure you are using the supported type and capacity of Memory Stick media for use with the camera
2 Use a clean pencil eraser and lightly rub the Memory Stick terminals to remove any oxidation or dirt build-up
3 Use different Memory Stick media
I hope this steps wil help you to resolve your isuues.
The Camera may display the FORMAT Error if the inserted media is not formatted or if the media was formatted on a computer. This error may also display if the inserted media is not supported by the Camera. The maximum supported capacity and media used is Memory Stick Pro Duo with 1 or 2 GB.
If you've already captured the images in the Camera and the error message displays, then try to open different images captured in the Camera and check if the message appears for all the images.
If this happens with all the images, then remove and reinsert the MS (Memory Stick) in the Camera and check if it works. You may also try cleaning the MS terminals and also check if the Internal Memory of the Camera displays the error. If the issue persists, then insert the MS in the Computer slot and transfer all the images to the Computer. If the images appear normally in the Computer, then Format the media in the Camera. To Format the Memory Stick, select the Format option in the Memory Stick Tool Menu of the Camera. (Menu-->Setup-->Memory Stick Tool-->Format) Formatting the MS will delete all the files saved.
The Reinsert Memory Stick error message appears when the inserted Memory Stick is corrupted or not in a correct Format. This issue can be resolved by trying the steps mentioned below:
Remove and re-insert the Memory Stick in the Camera.
Check if the inserted Memory Stick is compatible with the Camera.
Format the Memory Stick in the Camera. Do not Format the Memory Stick in the Computer, as this will damage the Memory Stick being used in the Camera. The Camera will not detect the Memory Stick again, if it is formatted in the Camera.
Clean the terminals of the Memory Stick by using a soft dry cloth.
Remove the Memory Stick from the Camera and check if the Internal Memory is working fine.
You may also try power resetting the Camera. Power resetting can be done by removing the batteries from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds and then reinsert the batteries after 1 minute.
The C:13:01 error code indicates the issue with the Media used in the Camera.
This may be due to the: Format Error of the Internal Memory. Un-formatted Memory Stick Duo. Broken Memory Stick Duo. Memory Stick Duo type error. When the Camera cannot Read or Write the data in the Memory Stick Duo.
This can be resolved by Formatting the Internal Memory and Memory Stick Duo. If not resolved, try inserting a new Memory Stick Duo which is supported. Try power resetting, remove and reinsert the Memory Stick etc.
This will resolve the issue, if not the Camera may require service.

A warning message appears on the LCD screen when a Memory Stick is inserted into the camera.
The following could be possible causes for the error message to appear:
Verify that the Memory Stick is inserted correctly.
The inserted Memory Stick cannot be used in the camera. Refer to the related link below for compatible Memory Stick.
The Memory Stick is damaged.
The terminal section of the Memory Stick is dirty.
The problem is with the memory card. It probably just shorted internally and is no longer useful. The amount of memory is not the problem, as I used a 4GB card for a long time and my card finally went bad. You will just have to get another memory card and MAYBE find someone to be able to retrieve your data.
your memory card has a virus! try formatting using camera. make it a habit that whenever you reinsert the memory card in your camera format it first before taking shots, this will erase everything including virus!
