Our Bunn was a gift and it has a leak. The tank leaks out from under the maker. It always has and we have to keep a towel around it.

Our Bunn also leaks after it has brewed a pot of coffee. We remove the basket and put a cup to catch the water .I've removed the spray head and water still leaks.

I have had the same problem on two Bunn coffee makers now. The first one occurred within three weeks of owning it, so I recieved a new one for free. This time the machine is around three years old so I'm not sure what is going to happen. I just finished unplugging the unit and I am going to take it apart to investigate.

We just replaced our old Bunn coffee maker (at least 5 years old) that was leaking from the bottom. Our new one (about 2 months old) is now doing the same thing but worse. My husband took it apart, but couldn't find a screw to tighten like the old one had. HELP!!

It sounds like you have a defective seal/gasket. If you will get the model and date code from the bottom of the brewer and contact customer service, your brewer can be replaced. If the machine is 3 years old or less, it will be replaced at no cost. If it is over 3 years old, it will be replaced at a reduced price.

Unit leaks water from bottom bunn pouromatic

What model of Bunn is this? If it is a bx-b or any of the other home models, what has happened is that the plastic pour-in tray has become brittle and cracked where it mounts onto the tank. The only repair for this is to replace the tray with one from another brewer (possibly your local bunn Dealer has an old brewer lying around). If it is a commercial brewer (VPR, VPS, Ect) there will be a sael leaking on the top of the tank.

Bunn coffee brewer leaking

Is this a lot of water, or just a small amount.

As the unit sits over time and runs heating cycles, it may have some vapor come out of the vents. That will cool and collect around the unit.

try turning the unit off for the weekends. If you still have water around the unit, then it may have a leak in the tank.

Bunn coffee maker leaks water only during operation...near end of the cycle (not when it just sits & not when water is first added).

There is a gasket where the water inters the tank, you have to remove the tank to get to it .mark down how it is wired so you can hook it back up.Use a high-temp
silacone ( auto ) and seal it under the the gasket and around the edge of the gasket.. 2 screws holding the metal plate plate. 4 screws holding tank need a 12 or 14 " phillips to reach down on the side of the tank to remove outer cover.

Leaking from top of water tank

It sounds like a broken seal/gasket. If you will get the model and date code and contact customer service, we will be able to properly assist you in resolving this problem. The machine carries a 3 year warranty so if it is 3 years old or less, it will be replaced at no cost. If it is over 3 years old, it will be replaced at a reduced cost.

Water leaking our bottom of machine

Hello. Anything can be fixed, its how much do you want to pay ? :)
Anyway, it sounds like the tank basin fitting is clogged, or blocked by something, or scale build up. Take the lid off, unplug first please, then look down into the hole in the basin. This should be open to allow water to go into the tank, clean if not. The pipe to the spray head, up under the funnel may be clogged also, there is a "deliming spring" that is supposed to be used to keep this clean/clear, you can get from Bunn, or a local servicer found under "restaurant equipment repair". If you don't have one, a spring, you can use some wire, not very big though, it has to make 2, 90degree bends, about 18 inches long.

Hope that helped, and thank you.

Bunn coffee maker leaks water

There are 3 seals in your unit that could cause your problem. there is a silicon seal right under the pour-in tray, and two on the top of the tank. one of those is for the thermostat, the other is for the sprayhead tube. any of these could leak, causing water to come out the bottom of the brewer. One other thing that can cause this is a scale buildup between the pour-in tray and the tank.

your problem is caused by the pour-in tray leaking where it mounts to the tank. There should be 2 screws under the pour-in lid, and a third toward the rear of the brewer. if you take them out & lift up carefully, you can see the pour-in tray. in the bottom of the tray, there is a bolt that mounts the tray to the tank. If you remove that, you can lift the pour-in tray out. Be careful, as these trays get brittle over time, and are prone to cracking.
