I have a danby(simplicity) portable airconditioner, was working fine till i heard ice droping into the fan(crunching noise).after that,it does not blow cold air anymore.any ideas what the problem could

Is the fan no longer running, or is it now blowing room temperature air? If it iced up enough to drop ice into the fan it may have simply gone into defrost mode. Unplug it and make sure it has completely defrosted - if it ices up quickly when powered up again, you likely have a problem with the condenser lines.

We have 2 Danby air conditioners. One is a Danby Designer, Model DPAC 10060 and the other is a Danby Silhouette Model DPAC 12006. The venting hoses have broken to pieces and we need to buy new ones that...

You can purchase similar hoses at most home improvement center. Take a section of the old hose with you to get the right diameter and use the existing fittings to attach them to the unint and the window exhaust. What you may find is a better quality hose/duct, than what came with the unit. You may have to buy more than you need in length, but then you'll have some left over, if you ever have to replace it again.

Hope this helped. Good luck.

Hi I have a Danby DDR3008EE dehumifier that is putting water on floor There is ice inside where the filter is. What should we do besides turn off and let melt?

Hi,

The coils you see on the back of your dehumidifier are the evaporator. When the unit runs, the coils get very cold. As the fan draws the room air over the coils, the humidity in the air condenses out of the air onto the cold coils. But, if the temperature of the air the fan draws over the coils is too cool, the humidity that condenses out of the air freezes on the coils. To remedy this problem, you can try any of these: Warm up the room the dehumidifier is in. Put the dehumidifier on a sturdy table (the room air is coolest near the ground). Turn the unit off until the room warms up.

Good luck.

This sounds like it could be a power supply problem. It may be very simple. I think I would first just unplug the unit, open it up, look for the PS connectors, and check/wiggle them to make sure there is good contact.

I went to the Danby's website:
https://www.danby.com/

And I was unable to find any service or owner's manuals in PDF format. The site does however have a locator for service shops. Good Luck!
