WHEN I TURN THE CAMERA ON, THERE IS A ERROR MESSGAE OF FRAME NO. FULL, ALTHOUGH THE MEMORY CARD IS A NEW ONE

I have the same problem and I think its because the frame no has reached 9999. Deleteing pictures or using a different card doesn't work. I cant find a reset button that alters anything on the camera although I have tried various settings. Mine is still under guarantee so its going back for repair.

Memory card write protected messgae when i turn on camera (lock is not on)

It sounds like the sensor make be blocked. 1. check with another card and verify the tab isn't damaged. 2. use canned air to blow out lint or dust from the optical sensor that sees the tab.
if it's a switch rather than a sensor, it may be damaged or have a rusty contact. a shop can clean or replace it.

I appear to have lost all my holiday photos due to a crash within the camera when the memory was reading full. Although the camera is not recognising any images on the card It still has a message saying...

you can try to get your images if you use an adapter for the memory card that connect to your computer then there is an application that recover files from a memory card

Hope it will help

My memory card is completely empty, all photos

You need to reset the file-numbering.
Turn mode-dial to Set and turn on the camera. Select Frame No. from the setup menu. Switch Frame No. to Renew. Press OK. Format the card (also from the Setup Menu) After formatting, select Frame No. againg and switch to Cont. File numbers will now start from 100.0001 again

My new CF card for my camera is reading card error. should I buy a new one?

Sounds like you bought a new compact flash card. They are making two different types of memory cards. One is the new SDHC which transfer 32 frames per second. The first set was only doing 16 frames per seconds. I beat that you have a new memory and your camera is not design to read the new memory

Cha flashing when new memory card inserted... have tried several to no avail... please can you help?

CH A error indicates that the camera can not communicate with the memory card. Most often this is caused by formatting a memory card in a computer and then putting it into the camera. (Especially on 4 + gb cards). Solution is 1. Reset the camera - then it should work with cards that it worked with in the past. 2. Take the bad memory card and reformat it in your computer to FAT not FAT 32.

It should now work - although it will show capacity to be only 2 gb...

I believe at that point, if you reformat it in camera it will work at the full 4 gb.

Come up with frame number full

The problem is ther internal memory is full or your external card is full and you have to reformat the card. Then you should be able to use the camera .

"Memory card is full"

This error message indicates that there is no more space on the memory card in the camera. To resolve this problem, do one of the following: Turn off the camera and insert a new memory card. Transfer or delete pictures from the memory card. Change the storage location to use the internal memory.
