Just one tip: Disconnect the battery first. The starter is connected by a heavy gauge wire to the battery positive terminal, with no fuses. Accidentally shorting that line to ground could cause a battery explosion (I knew someone blinded for life by just such an accident). Safest method: disconnect the negative (grounded) battery terminal first. While that should be enough, I also take the positive connection off next, and clean and grease both battery terminals while I'm at it. With that done, the starter is easy to access with the loader and motor cover off. Take off the nut holding the heavy red wire (under the rubber boot) and remove the plastic connector (sometimes there's a locking tab you have to press in). Unbolt the starter and replace it. Put some dielectric grease (vaseline works too) on the connections before putting them back on. Reconnect battery -- positive terminal first, negative last, and off you go. Please rate if you found this helpful, thanks!

Why my kubota L 3240 will not start

Sounds like the starter coil is grounded or the starter is bad. Have it checked. It is usually free if you remove starter and take it to Kubota Dealer.

Remove battery terminals and clean both posts and terminals
with sandpaper until you see shiny metal. The black coating is lead sulphate which has a high resistance to current flow both into and out of the battery.
