Question about Craftsman 10" Table Saw
My saw will start. It has always run quite well, but yesterday it would not start. could it the reset or on/off switches are bad?
If it hums but doesn't turn it is almost certainly the starter capacitor which is fairly easy and cheap to replace . Usually a metal or plastic cylindrical object attached to the motor or sometimes inside the switch housing. Buy a replacement from Electronics store or from the makers of the machine.
If it does not hum and you have checked fuses then the switch is probably the trouble and switcheds dont like dusty environments at the best of times.
