Hi,

If you are having trouble getting a cd player to work that, then you probably need an unlcok code that a Chevy dealer can give you with a receipt for it or maybe it is broken.
Unless you have the code you have to go to the dealer to get it reset
You can check the link bellow

You most likely loosened the connection either on the positive or negative if it wasnt obvious after hooking up the battery than the power wire for your stereo may have fallen off the harness for it you will want to look neer your firewall for a single radio wire heading towards the battery they're maybe two for a remote and main power source but will need to be re attached

hope this helps

THEFTLOCK is designed to discourage theft of your vehicle’s radio. The feature works automatically by learning a portion of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). If the radio is moved to a different vehicle, it
will not operate and LOCKED will appear on the display.

With THEFTLOCK activated (page 183 Owners Manual), the radio will not operate if stolen. You will need to take your VIN and proof of ownership (registration card, etc.) to a Chevy dealer to get the security code for the radio so it can be unlocked.

Hope helps.

"Technology is great, when it works" and yes your victims of theft lock.
Depending on which factory radio, some need to be flashed, while some
just need codes, so you may need to go to the dealer.

For the 99-2002 trucks theres a number you
can call and it gives you a unlock code. Here are the instructions for unlocking a Theftlock radio:

    01. Turn the ignition ON (The radio displays LOC)

    02. Hold down the Radio Presets 2 and 3 buttons for six seconds

    03. The radio display changes from LOC to a three-digit number. Write

this number down. Don't take forever, fifteen seconds max before the

    next step.

    04. Press the AM/FM button

    05. The radio display changes to another three-digit number. Write

this number to the right of the first one.

    06. You now have a six-digit number, the first three digits are from

STEP 03 and the last three digits are from STEP 05

    07. Call 1-800-537-5148

    08. Press 1 then # (pound). You'll hear "Invalid code, try again"

    09. Press 139010 then # (pound) You will be asked to enter your four

or six digit code followed by a * (star)

    10. Enter the number from STEP 6 then 8 * (star)

    11. Listen to the four-digit number and write it down. It will be

    repeated twice.

    12. Turn the ignition ON (the radio displays LOC)

    13. Use the MN and HR buttons to enter the code from STEP 11

    14. Press the AM/FM button. The radio display changes to SEC and your

radio is now unlocked and usable.

Also, try these guys, I've heard they will send an unlock code for next to
    nothing:http://corvetteradios.com/corvetteradios...

    Good luck.

I have a 05 chevy equinox and the left brake light wont work...I changed the bulb and the light works but when i push on the brake it wont light up...any ideas of what it might be...

If you're sure the bulb is good, your next step would be to get a volt meter and test the bulb socket. You most likely have either corrosion in the socket or possibly a bad wire or ground.

My factory cd player in my 2001 chevy cavalier wont read cd's so i put a factory cd player from another chevy cavalier and now the screen says locked

Most radios and cd players in cars require a code to get them operating again after they have been disconnected from the battery for an extended time. Hopefully a dealer could help you locate the code for that model.

OEM CD player is stuck

have you tried disconnecting the battery cables? if this does not work, a CD may be stuck in it! You will have to remove the changer and open it up to remove the cd!

Ever since I changed the battery in my 2005 Chevy Equinox, the cd player has been flashing an error message and I can't play or eject my cds.

it sounds like you need to input a code to get the cd player to work.check the owners manual for the code and possibly the procedure to input it.you may have to go to the dealer for them to get the code a program it into the player.when you disconnected the battery it went into theft mode thinking it was being stolen.

05 chevy malibu cd player wont take cds. Acts like a cd is stuck

This isn't good for any cd's, but take another cd and jam it in there, not all the way in but hold on to it so you can jam it in and out, If therees a cd in there, it wont be anymore.

Chevy Equinox 5 disc cd changer. Car battery died which cycled cd changer several times. Now it just gives cd error message and I cant get the lone cd out and I cannot load a cd.

I had the same problem with my 2007 Equinox, 6 cd changer. I changed the oil, disconnected the battery as recommended. When I reconnected the battery, the single cd wouldn't come out. It was out of warranty so I ordered a complete new cd player from ebay, I installed it, spent the $120 for the dealer to unlock it, just to find out....It won't let me load any cd's. Every time I hit load, it appears as if it is gonna load, but the motor inside never activates. Let me know if you find the solution to your problem.
