Want to buy a computer what are main requirements

hello

you want to allow yourself some technological advancement for future use. purchase latest and greatest only -- do not allow yourself to be drawn into computer fire sale -- as the one you buy from a sale may be later disappointing.
make sure you buy Intel based processor with 2 dual core processor, 350-500G hard disk drive, with 4G RAM at least. WiFi latest technology is 802.11n, make sure you don't buy anything less than this . Allow yourself some viewing screen size, so do not settle for anything less than 17" screen Wide,as you will enjoy the movies on it. get a DVD / RW / CDRW, dual layer.
DO NOT BUY any processor with AMD in it, as this processor has overheating issues with some computer makers. http://devforums.amd.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=22&threadid=106846&highlight_key=y Make sure it has a very good viodeo card 512M to 1G memory video. Again, i strongly suggest to stick with Lenovo http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:CompareByNeed?current-category-id=653343E0DE54435882FABC3CE1BC569A or Toshiba, Intel based PROCESSOR. DO NOT BUY from computer sale, as there is a reason why the cost is so low on computer, this does not include Lenovo (they always have sales, no matter what).
If you buy, purchase on line directly from computer maker -- do not buy retail, and buy extended warranty with accidental warranty , it will be to your benefit and best interest, $$.
Also, consider buying a UPS (UNITERRUPTABLE POWER SUPPLY) always use this as your power source, instead of direct AC power , as you do not know when you can experience power failure in your home or office.
DO NOT BUY AntiVirus software, as MS SECURITY ESSENTIALS is free, www.microsoft.com also, www.malwarebytes.org is free.
Always buy software from the maker , do not add to the computer cost.
I would say, you will have to spend about $800-$1000 for this notebook

if you want a desktop, you could be spending $500-$750 , depnding on its purpose.

Lenovo, has some nice A.I.O (all in ones). http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:show-category?category-id=FFA158AAECE944CD9055899B3280EA36&menu-id=products¤t-catalog-id=12F0696583E04D86B9B79B0FEC01C087

if you need a printer , DO NOT BUY INKJET -- go with laserjet, HP www.hp.com, laserjets toners, go a long way. (pick one up for about $350-$600) , or less .. do not get stuck with INKJET, please.
inkjets are too much $, maintenance in long run.

i hope this helps -- if it does, please issue 4 thumbs up !!

Should I Upgrade My Computer or Buy a New One?

If your computer is slow, you have two choices, either to upgrade the PC or buy a new one. Buying a new PC is costly therefore an advisable choice is to upgrade a PC.

First decide:
- Will my system support the latest software?
If yes, upgrade it.

How to upgrade your computer?
Decide the computer accessories that need to be upgraded. For example, you might have less RAM in that case buy more RAM modules.

Same goes for graphic cards, storage devices and even processors.

How can we buy best computer

Here are some tips which can make you easy for buying a new computer.

1. The first thing to do to determine exactly plan to use computer at home, or travel with business often, i.e. you want to have a Desktop computer or notebook.

2. The money would you like to spend on buying, so you must determine your budget. There is a wide range of desktop and notebook computers to choose from, so they can cover any budget. Decide how much money you are willing to spend money and continue to next step.

3. Now determine what you will with the computer for. Are you buying it for play video games, watching movies or internet surfing experience etc.?

4. Now choose the capacity or additional card for making your working speed smooth and fast.

5. If you are planning to store graphics such as photos, Microsoft Office documents, mp3, Video files, etc.? You have to think about to determine how much capacity of hard disk of your computer needs. If you use it to store photos and Office files, these cover less space but video and audio files occupy lots of space.

6. Buy a pre-made computer, or make your new computer all the parts yourself? In my opinion, if you are a person, the purchase of your computer changes often then a finished one is the perfect choice for you.

7. If you have no desire to change the computer then it would be wise things to even buy it to a local store or at few sites on the Internet. This is because most of the large computer companies use proprietary components and if you buy a finished one is usually more difficult to later update.

By using these computer buying tips you may purchase a more comfortable and friendly one.
Tip for buying a computer

Many people today buy a computer and the main reasons they buy it are the price and the features the retailer want you to know about. Most people never get to the bottom line about what kind of computer they're buying and what it will be able to do. Would you go buy a Ford 1 ton Super Cab 4X4 if you knew it had a 4 cylinder engine? Of course you wouldn't because you know that it would not have the power to do what you expect a 1 ton truck to be able to do. So why do people buy computers that have underpowered processors? Most don't understand the different features of processors, what they contribute to your computing experience and how they can effect your computer's performance. The most noteable component in any computer system that determines it's price is the CPU or processor. It can cost anywhere from $35.00 up to well above $1000.00 for the processor. If you notice most sale ads for computers they will never mention how many gigahertz the processor is. They might mention that it's a Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor but they won't tell you how fast it is. That particular processor can be anyhere from 1.8 gigahertz to 3.3 gigahertz. That is a lot of difference in computing power. This is called the clock cycles.
All I'm suggesting is this tip is to ASK. When you go buy your next computer ASK what kind of a processor you're getting. They should give you a number like T9000 or E4300 or E6400. Then go to Intel's website and get a little bit better idea what you're buying. It's not everything to look for when you buy a new computer but it's an awful big part if not the most important part to understand when you buy a computer.
