There is no dedicated reset button on the e260. Press and hold the power/menu button for fifteen seconds to reset the unit.

Hello there,

Resetting is like reformatting your Sandisk Sansa. You just have to plugin your player to the usb port of your computer using a usb cable. Once it was detected by the computer, go to Windows Explorer (you can right click on the Start button and choose Explore) and locate for the local drive letter associated with your Sandisk Sansa. Right click on that drive and choose Format then do a quick format. Take note that this will erase everything and let you start from scratch. Good luck!

I've removed the cable from iPod to soon from a sync .... now ipod has frozen and nothing is working on iTunes at all

You need to Perform a Hard Reset on iPod Classic..To perform an iPod hard reset , start by toggling the hold switch from off to hold, then back off again. Press and hold down the Center button (middle of click wheel) and the Menu button. Continue to hold these buttons down until you see the Apple logo on the iPod screen (approximately 6-8 seconds).
If the hard reset doesn't work the first time, try it again a couple more times. Sometimes it works the second or third time around.
If the iPod hard reset is still not working, try connecting your iPod to a power source, or computer, and then doing the hard reset.
*For older iPod models, you may need to hold down the Play/Pause button and menu button, rather than the Center button and Menu button...Take care..

How 2 reset ipod 2nd gerantion

Perform a straightforward reset procedure on your iPod Touch if you are experiencing issues like freezing, unresponsive apps, delays or other other problems. Carry out a reset if your iPod doesn't respond when you attempt to restart the unit. This type of reset will not erase any content from your iPod Touch.

Locate the "Sleep/Wake" button on the top of the iPod Touch. Press and hold down the "Sleep/Wake" button and the "Home" button simultaneously. Continue to hold both buttons for at least 10 seconds. Release the "Sleep/Wake" button and the "Home" button when the Apple logo appears on the screen, indicating the device has been reset.

My sansa will turn on but my screen is still black

There is a reset button on the player which can be pressed with a offfice pin to clear up the hanging condition.
If the screen does not turn on even after the reset is done , the fault can be failure of the hardware in the Ipod.
