Question about EliteGroup L7VMM2 (L7VMM2 NO CARD READER) Motherboard

2G RAM's for Elitegroup (ECS) L7VMM2 Rev 1.0A Motherboard

I have an Elitegroup (ECS) L7VMM2 Rev 1.0A Motherboard. I want to upgrade the RAM to 2G. The Kingston KVR266X72RC25/1024 (1GB 266MHz DDR ECC Registered CL2.5 DIMM) that I installed was not recognized.

Kingston says that this motherboard will only take unbuffered memory and does not recognize a Registered memory. Is that true?

What RAM brand and type do you recommend to get to 2G?

You're board can handel; DDR SDRAM up to 200 or 266MHz DDR SDRAM memory module. Accommodates two "unbuffered", 2.5V 184-pin slots. Each slot supports up to 1 GB with a total maximum capacity of 2 GB. Return the Kingston memory you have installed if it is less than a year old. They should allow you to trade up to the MB's supported memory.
Two reach the MB's max memmory of 2GB. Buy two Kingston DIMMS of, "unbuffered", 2.5V 184-pin
DIMMs. Here is one site that sells Kingston memory;

If you decide to search for you're self, use this as the basis for the correct model: Module - KVR266X64C2

Hardisk not detected

Is this the only HD in your system? If so, make sure the jumper on the drive is set to Master. Also make sure you use the Primary IDE controller. Make sure the IDE controller is enabled in the BIOS also.
