Re: windows wont start up
Hi, Try choosing the SAFE MODE, this will fix some problems and if the widows screen appears at safe mode is good then restart the laptop, this will automatically go to normal mode... if so then the problem is fixed. Post me back If this doesn't work... good luck.

Forgetting your User password is both annoying and easily fixable.
Turn laptop on and repeatedly hit F8 till a black screen with white writing appears with multiple options for you to select.
Highlight "Safe mode with command prompt" after a few minutes another screen will appear with the following.
C:/ Yourcomputersname/Your user name>
type "net user" press enter
type "net user Your user account name * " (( Your User Name should appear under neath the "net user" command.
Type "net user Your user name *
It will ask you to enter a password, enter any password you like. Note the cursor will not move to show it recognised a key press this is for security purposes so please dont make a mistake.
It will ask you to re enter the same password
Re enter password then press enter
COMMAND COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY should appear.
Reboot laptop and sign in with original User Name and new password you typed in above.
was there a new hardware that was added to your laptop? bluescreens often are caused by hardware.
while the laptop is booting up when you are asked for options on how to start you computer is there an option for start windows using last known configuration? if there is try that and if it still goes into bluescreen you may want to try and recover your laptop using the hp recovery cd or recovery tool. if it still doesn't work most likely you have a bad memory chip.

Oh boy, you need to call dell for that. the hdd is locked and only dell can give you the password. dont try unknow passwords its not gonna work. the password is related to the secuity of the machine. call dell and they will give you the password. in case by any reason you cant call dell. you need to repalce the hdd then. call dell they will give you the password free.
you really need a recovery CD, or windows operating system.
try removing any external devices ( Printers/scanners/ USB devices et,c ) And start the computer up with bare minimum devices attached/connected. it may be one of the external devices causing your problem.
