Samsung sgh-t139, Bluetooth won't recognize my laptop
Samsung Bluetooth won't recognize device: I just installed bluetooth on my laptop. I just downloaded photos via bluetooth from a ''Sagem'' phone, so the computer's bluetooth device works. My Samsung cannot ''find'' the device. The bluetooth is definately ''on'' on the computer as I just made it work with another phone, and it's ''on'' on the samsung phone. - what's wrong?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

We can use Bluetooth technology to connect laptop and cell phone. We can move videos, images, photos etc from a desktop computer or a laptop to our cell phones. In order to use Bluetooth technology to connect laptop and cell phone we need a laptop and a cell phone which support this technology. If the laptop doesn't support it, we can use a USB Bluetooth dongle. Just plug it into the USB port of the desktop computer or laptop. Leave the rest to Microsoft Windows. It will find the driver and install it itself. If it is not supported, we can manually install it via the manufacturer's compact disk. Follow these simple steps in order to use Bluetooth technology to connect laptop and cell phone: (In this example, we are using Windows Vista.) Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your cell phone. Make this setting: my Phone's visibility -> Shown to all on the cell phone. Open Bluetooth Devices by clicking on its icon in the Control Panel. OR
google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad);
Look for the Bluetooth driver in the Device Manager and double-click on its icon. Click on the Add buttonin Bluetooth Devices dialog box. Check the box for "My devices is set up and ready to be found" in the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard dialog box. Click on the Next button. This device wizard will display the name of the found Bluetooth device close by. Click on the device name that you would like to add and click on Next. Select "Let me choose my own key" or "Choose a passkey for me" and click on Next. It will now display the passkey. Key this into the cell phone. Now the laptop is initiating to install the Bluetooth device. (Click Yes as you see the prompt message on the cell phone to allow connection with the laptop.) Click on the Finish button to close the dialog box of Add Bluetooth Device Wizard. The Bluetooth device (the cell phone) is now displayed in Bluetooth Devices dialog box. Select the Bluetooth device and click on the Properties button. The Properties dialog box for the device will become visible. Choose the Services tab. Check the boxes for the services you want. In the end you can launch the items of the cell phone. Transfer photos, videos etc to cell phone via Bluetooth technology. This method can also be used to connect laptop to Bluetooth devices like Bluetooth mouse, Bluetooth keyboard, Bluetooth headset, etc
If your computer has a bluetooth device installed in it, and your phone also has a bluetooth device installed in it, simply turn them on and, If you want to send files (photos inclusive) from your computer to your phone, right click on the file (photo) you wish to send, click on send via bluetooth, search for your phone but make sure your phone's bluetooth is turned on. When you find your phone on the list of available devices on your computer, select it and if the computer asks for a pass code, give it any number, like (1), and it will send the pic to your phone. If you wish to send files from your phone to your computer, go to the bluetooth icon on the navigation area of your computer, click on it and select receive a file, then your computer is now ready to receive files and you can now send the photos from your phone to your computer. On the other hand, if there is no bluetooth device installed on any of the devices, you can use the USB cord that came with your phone. Connect it to your computer, it would first of all try to install the device driver software. After then you can send files from your phone to your computer and from your computer to your phone.
you have not provided the problem you are facing while connecting. firstly you have to have bluetooth driver installed in the laptop. be sure of it. better download a fresh one and install it. now turn your bluetooth device on . turn on bluetooth of the phone aswell. now search for devices in the laptop. choose the device and select the service you want. its simple. sometimes it requires pairing. hope you know how to pair it. thanks.
I have the same problem with the same phone.
I bought a Zeemote (bluetooth controller) which needs to have a .sis file installed on the phone, but the phone does not recognize the file type. Please help.
As for mefonna's problem, I usually connect my phone to my laptop, go into 'My Computer' to access the phone and just transfer files (drag and drop) across directly to your phone from there. There is also an app you could download called 'Bluetooth File Transfer' (which is free) to transfer files via bluetooth.
first of all, you turn on your bluetooth. then the laptops bluetooth. you select the recieve file on the laptops bluetooths option. then you search for device on the phone then you select the photo you want to send then send via bluetooth.
you can also send via usb cable. when the laptop or computer reads the usb, select the mass storage, then you try to locate the photo you cant to send the transfer it through the cable.
Please let me know how are you trying to connect your phone through the cable provided with the phone or through bluetooth?
If you want to connect your Phone with Laptop via Bluetooth, you need to have a Laptop equipped with bluetooth facility built-in, through which you can pair your handset with the handset bluetooth and transfer files.
Else if you are trying to connect it via the cable provided with the phone, you can set your handset connectivity to USB mode and check if your laptop recognizes your phone as a USB device or not, in case it doesn't then you need to install the Samsung PC Studio software which came with the phone and then you would be able to connect your phone to your laptop
With Bluetooth. put the bluetooth on the laptop ON, then on the phone, open the folder containing your pictures, choose options then select on send via then you select on bluetooth. it will open a folder with all the photos each with an option button. select the photos you want to send then click on select. it give you a window with all the bluetooth devices you've ever used listed. select on search new device. it willl search and get the laptop, it will ask you to pair the devices by putting some password on both phone then on the laptop. after that the photos would be sent, use the procedure for any other file trasfer. incase of any problem, report back.
It is not possible from my experience (I have one and I have tried everything). The Bluetooth on this phone is only for connecting a headset, nothing else. It paired with my Jawbone set quite fine. You want to share photos...you are forced to use the T-Mobile service....
you can receive photos via bluetooth or by USB via a computer.for bluetooth you need to switch it on and make your device discoverable by other bluetooth devices from which the photo has to be sent.be sure to switch off bluetooth once its done or you may get a virus!
the other way is to transfer via usb connection from a computer.samsung would have given you some software for synchonising with your mobile phone.
hope it helps!
all the best!
