Question about Televison & Video
hey buddy! pls. help me with my sony tv. model no. kv-19apr2, it has sound but don't have picture, only yellow horizontal line... pls. tell me what do and what to check, i don't have oscilloscope only vom, aside from vertical IC, and resistors in vertical section what is the possible defective parts? pls. i need your expertise...
Check the diode from flyback who supply the vertical ic..

I already replaced it with LA7830, but it does not work and the electrolytic capacitors i replaced already but still it wort work...

The probable defective part is the vertical IC. If changing that does not resolve the problem, check the capacitors in the same circuit. Also, check for the proper voltages at the vertical IC. If the IC is not being fed its power, it won't work either. I don't have a listing for your specific model. If you can post the vertical IC part number (LA7837 for example), I can list the voltages per pin.

Aside from the parts you mentioned check the vertical connection to the
yoke (usually yellow and green wires), it may have a cracked solder
joint or it could be burned. Also check the yoke for a broken vertical
If the line is yellow with no other colors you may also have a bad color gun or drive transistor. If all color guns are working the line should be white.
