A 500ml bottle of water contains 16.907 fluid ounces, thus a liter of water would contain 33.814 fluid ounces.

Hi Yesenia

There are a couple of possible answers, depending on whether you're talking about liquid ounces, or weight ounces.

For liquids, there are 8 fluid ounces in a kitchen '1 Cup' measuring cup. That means 48 fluid ounces are the same as 6 cups, 3 pints (2 cups per pint) , or 1-1/2 quarts (two pints per quart).

For weight, there are 16 ounces in a pound. (One fluid ounce of water also weighs one weight ounce, which is the basis of the adage 'A pint's a pound, the world around', since a pint is 16 fluid ounces, and 16 fluid ounces of water, or near-water like some beer, will then weigh a pound' ).. Anyhow, in this case, 16 goes 3 times into 48 ounces, so it will weigh 3 pounds.

For metric, 2.2 pounds per kilogram, or 29.5735 milliliters per fluid ounce.

Cheers!

Hi,

In the USA - 128 ounces = 1 gallon

One fluid ounce is one fluid ounce. If by "ounce" you mean the unit of weight, that depends on what you have a fluid ounce of. One fluid ounce of water weighs about one avoirdupois ounce. One fluid ounce of gold weighs about 20 avoirdupois ounces.

50 parts gas to 1 part oil = one imperial gallon = 160 imperial ounces (fluid) 50 divides into 160 / 3.2 times since a std 2 cycle oil container is 7 imperial ounces you'll need two and four tenths containers of oil for a gallon of petrol ???

That depends. Fluid ounce is a measure of volume while pound is a measure of mass (or weight). It takes about 16 fluid ounces of water to make a pound, while about 1 fluid ounce of molten gold will make a pound.

Hey, sorry for the confusion. Actually Ortho GroundClear can not be used in the Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer because this sprayer will only dilute up to 8oz per gallon. This dilution rate is not enough for the product to be effective in keeping the area clear of vegetation. Hope this clears it up.

For ground coffee, use 1-1/2 (one and one-half) tablespoons of beans per 6 ounces of water.

For whole bean coffee, use two tablespoons of beans per 6 ounces of water.

Coffee strength is a very personal preference, so use these numbers as a guideline for middle-of-the-road coffee, and adjust to make the coffee that you like to drink.

6 fluid ounces of Roundup (12 tablespoons) per gallon of water. Small weed seedlings can be killed with half this strength: 3 ounces per gallon. When using Roundup Super Concentrate, mix 2.5 ounces (5 tbsp.) with a gallon of water to control most weeds and a half-strength solution for small weeds. Roundup Pro Concentrate is the strongest solution available. Spray a mixture of 2 ounces (4 tbsp.) on weeds and half that amount of concentrate on emerging plants. Since Roundup doesn't discriminate between weeds and other plants, use the least amount of herbicide possible to protect desirable vegetation.
