There are two battery supplies to the radio.
One via the ignition switch and the other is a permanent battery that maintains the memory.

It is this second battery feed that is missing

Check the fuse or wiring or connections

Do you have the unlock code and need a way to input them them.

Input the code to your Sony stereo using the remote control handset
Press [+] on your stereo until you reach the first digit required then press [SEEK] to enter
Press [+] on your car radio until you reach the second digit required then press [SEEK] to enter
Press [+] until you reach the third digit required then press [SEEK] to enter
Press [+] on your stereo until you reach the fourth digit required then press [SEEK] to enter
The clock will be displayed once finished. Press the [SOURCE] key to switch the car radio on.

You can get the radio codes from the site

But you will have to pay for it.

Or worst case start at 0000-9999.
Hope this helps.

scroll to bottom of page and enter the download key as shown on its page to get the manual for your unit!
Don't waste your time downloading from the big blue button near top right side this is a bad ad, but rather from the tiny blue button at bottom.

I have a sony cdx-m1000tf, i need the radio code for it, sn- 3517423, can any one help

there is no site or organization willing to give you a stereo code for free. Some amount of money will be charged in exchange for the radio code.

Radio unlock code can be gotten from the below link:

Also the process to follow in order to successfully unlock the stereo is stated in the link.

In addition this link claims to generate stereo unlock codes for free, you can give it a trail as it might work for you.

Good luck.

Check the battery wire behind the radio it should not be connected or the fuse should be blown, the wire color in aftermarket stereos usually is Yellow

CDX changer has power but doesn't want to eject after flat battery

i resolved this myself in the end.
I unplugged the audio & power cables whilst the stereo and engine was running.
Then plugged back in.
I turned the engine off and stereo off as well.
I then unplugged audio and power again from the back of the CDX, left it unplugged for 10 minutes whilst the engine was still off.
I then plugged the leads back in and turned the engine on. the stereo recognised the CDX, but stayed on displaying "CD Checking". I switched to radio for 20 seconds, turned back to CDX and it selected CD 1 and has been good ever since.

I'm rather pleased with myself!
