Question about Logitech Pocket Digital Digital Camera

1 Answer

Battery problems? When Camera (Pocket Digital 130) is plugged into USB, it will not charge. I assume that it could be a battery problem? For instance, when It has been plugged in for two hours, it shows no sign of a charge. Can I buy a new battery if that is the problem? Installation? Please advise. Charles

I changed the location of the USB plugin. It seems to have worked. If it holds up in the next day or two I'll know that the problem is solved.
    Thank you.

Yes this is a battery problem, but having it replace is not easy to do and it very hard to find a replacemnet battery for that unit since its a Proprietary Lithium Battery that only Logitech has it. So the only way to have the battery replace is to take it to a Logitech service center on your area to avoid further problem on it.
But by the way before you to take it to a service center try to connect first the camera to a different USB port on your computer probably the back USB poirt or better try to connect it on a different computer because sometimes its a low USB port port that might be causing the problem. But after you tried that and still same problem now continue with the battery replacement from a service center.

Assuming you're referring to a Kodak M530, you can charge the battery in one of two ways:
  1. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the camera to the supplied adapter, and plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  2. Take the battery out of the camera, put it into the supplied charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet.
If it's not a Kodak M530, please reply to this post specifying the make of the camera.

Will a usb cable fitting the Vivi Cam 8025 charge the lith battery; I can't locate a port on the camera to plug in a wall charger?

Yes, you can charge the 8025 through the USB port, assuming the computer puts out enough current to do so (not all USB ports do). Or you can take the battery out of the camera, put it into the charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

I have the powershot SD3500IS abd it says i need to change the battery pack what is that and how can i fix it also if i dont have a charer can i charge it with the usb ?

"Change batter pack" means your battery is dead. The camera should have come with a charger in the bok that can plug into the outlet in your wall. It uses a lithium ion battery, so you can't use a regular AA batter charger, for instance. You cannot charge the battery via the usb into your computer.

Yes, assuming the USB port into which you plug it provides enough current. Not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge other devices.

Sony dsc-s600

1= Use rechargeable battery cells and must be fully charged.
2= Check battery terminals in camera battery compartment. Must be cleaned and shiny.
3= Sony camera DCS-S600 won't charge batteries through USB cable plugged in PC. You need external battery charger to charge battery cells.

Same happening to me. The solution is to try it in a different USB port, as it is a USB related issue.
