Question about Apple MacBook Mac Notebook
I don't think your Macbook is required in this situation, if I understand correctly the wireless N adapter plugs into the tivo correct? If so then your entering the data via some sort of input device (keyboard, remote, etc.) into the settings for your tivo. Try powering your router off waiting 30 secs and then power it back on, then try entering the data again. It could also be that your router doesn't use the 192.168.10.1 numbering scheme, some routers like apple's use a 10.xx.xx.x system and others use 192.168.1.xxx. I'm guessing that the tivo setup is asking for your routers IP address so it can assign the wireless N adapter an IP address of its own via DHCP. If this is the case try looking in your router's user manual to see what the router's IP address is set to by default when you first install it. Hope this helps, I could help further if I had some more information about the situation. If this does solve the problem, don't forget to vote, rate, comment, etc. Thank you.
