Question about Amcor AMD243HX Air Conditioner

Open Question

Amcorair 2-zone mini-split ac not cooling, compressor cycling

I have 2-zone mini-split ac; 2 indoor model AWM123HX & 1 outdoor model AOM243HX. Bought in july 2009, put in storage and finally installed May 30, 2010. Installed per manufacturer instructions. Pressure tested using nitrogen - no leak. Vacuumed for 10 minutes; vacuum leak tested for 15 minutes - no leak. Opened service valves and ran okay. First 2 days, units were cooling properly. Later, when on cooling mode, P4 flashes about 20 times and then temperature setting return. On auto mode, no P4 flashing but not cooling adequately. Compressor runs for 2 minutes and cycles. I suspect it's lacking 410A refrigerant. What do you recommend?

SOURCE: AC unit Amcoraire AOS241HX

these should be seperate circuits so lets forget the condensing unit for a moment. It should not come on because it gets the control voltage for the contactor from the indoor unit. Check your circuit board for a 3 or 5 amp fuse and make sure it hasnt blown. If it has you will get nothing past the board. If that isnt the case, you will have to start checking for supply voltage from the panel to the disconnect at your furnace, disconnect to board(transformer may also be bad) the blower motor. transformer, and circuit board are the only components indoor that effect the outdoor unit.

Multi Splits and Multi V = indoor unit is set to run in a different mode from the master indoor unit. Set ALL indoor units to cooling or ALL to heating to clear.

Hello im trying to trouble shoot two split systems the electrical wires were crossed for the two units I fixed it the compressors wont come on, wall unit says e7? This is on the Amcoraire ac split systems.

E7 indicates an "External Feedback Problem" which sounds like a communication problem. I believe there is a sensor cable that runs from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit also. Check that all cables are properly run to the appropriate unit and check all connections for tightness. Here is the link to a manual that includes installation and wiring instructions.

York Mini-Split Not Cooling? : (

This can only be a gas problem.
the split units goes on on and off if a shortage of gas is involved, the chances that you would here it wont be that big for the fans would make too much noise.
get a repair man for a re gas and all is well.

Good luck.

Sharp Air Conditioner. Model # AF-S85NX. Does this A.C. fan cycle on & off in the auto cool mode or does remain on continuously. I need a small A.C. that cycles off and on with the compressor.

If you set you r AC to FAN mode the unit will not cool, it only runs in the indoor but the outdoor will off. If you set to AUTO the unit will cool but the indoor blower will automatically run slower when the room is cool or attain the room temp. setting. If you set it to COOL the fan speed is fix depending on your setting and it also operate in cool.
