check the mirco-switches behind the panel at the dispenser section. basically, when you depress the lever for water or ice, those levers make contact with a switch, and the switch turns on the ice dispenser motor. if the lever is pushed too hard, the switch can be knocked out of position. I had to re-position my ice switch with some duct tape.

Seems that the condensate drain is clogged/frozen.. If there is a bottom storage bin on the freezer side, remove it. There should be a removeable panel on the back freezer wall. If you can safely remove it then do so. Look for an accumilation of ice behind the panel, under the evaporator coil. Do not attempt to do this unless you have a good mechanical aptitude. One other thing you may try is to clean the coil underneath the refrigerator. This can be quite difficult as the unit must be tilted in such a way as to gain access. The coil there is most likely covered in dirty hairballs. Once the coil is clean, let the unit defrost overnight. Once again, do not attempt any of these steps unless you are certain you can handle it. Perhaps it would be best to call a qualified service tech.

Icemaker leaks are common and cannot always be solved. May need a new Icemaker. Ofter you can obtain a kit from Lowes (use a Whirlpool kit.)

You may need to replace the water reservoir located behind the crisper. They are known to flake and cause the problem you describe. They are usually replaced with a coil of water line instead of one larger reservoir to stop the problem.
