It sounds like the condenser fan is not working. Try this link to check it.

Center panel between fridge and freezer gets hot

Also called mullion heater or yoder loop(the center panel)There is some designed heat to keep this area from sweating.....Too much(hot) may mean the compressor cooling fan that also moves air across the coils (condensor coils) is stopped Romove back panel to check, also check the coils that are on the very bottom for good air flow, fan moving air can cause a accumation in the front of coils of pet hair over time....
Hope this helps......

Hot air blows thru the vents all the time

Just fixed this problem on my '06 Sentra. The AC lines were freezing cold so I figured the system was cooling with no problems but the cold air wasn't getting to the cabin for some reason. I put a snake camera in through the vent behind and to the left of the glove box(you have to remove all of the panels) and saw that the cable that gets pulled/released when you turn the hot/cold knob had broken off from the retaining clip. This caused the whole line to move when the knob turned meaning that the cable wasn't actually being pulled in when turning the knob to cold. I pulled the center dash and CD player out and the cable was right there so I secured it in place with a zip tie. Everything works like new now.

I have a KSSC48QMSO1, The center panel, that divides the freezer from the refrigerator is hot to the touch at the top end and only where the side doors close together. Also the refrigerator is not holding...

could be a problem with a dirty condenser or your condenser fan may be no good. That will cause the center panel to be hot and will prevent the refrigerator from cooling properly. Is the sides of the fridge hot to the touch as well?

Changed water pump & thermostat. Still only blowing cool air. Fan motor blows fine Jeep is in good condition other than this. Someone mentioned using some different antifreeze?

if you were the person that changed the water pump and t'stat this will be more of a 'follow-on'
A word of warning and advice, if you are going to work on the cooling system when it is in operating range, ie hot! Wewar a long sleeved work shirt /coveralls, work gloves and eye protection. If a hose 'blow's" when you are in proximity to it, it will cause injury. if you are caught like that, wash the affected with cool water a.s.a.p. and for a minimum of 15 mins. One, the washing will remove any anti-freeze, (bad for the skin etc) Two, the cool water will reduce the temp and thus the damage to the outer and inner skin formation. Most important to cool the UNDERLYING skin, it will greatly reduce reaction and damage.
Ok, here we go. If you8 have an assistant it will save you some tiome. The engine is warmed up and is at operating temp. Briefly check the top rad hose between thermostat and rad. If it's hot to the touch, the T'stat has opened, if cool to the touch the T'stat has NOT opened. Re'check the T'stat installation.

All is well, rad top and bottom hose are hot, coolant is circulating. Find and follow the heater hose from engine to bulkhead. Sometimes there will be quite a few hoses sharing a common center. Again, check that the inlet hose to the bulkhead and the return line are hot to the touch. This equates to coolant circulating. if inlet is hot and outlet cool, then the coolant is not circulating correctly through the heater box / matrix.

Under the hood, find and trace the vacuum line (s) which run from the engine to the bulkhead and check for leaks, a broken connector or a split hose. The underhood temps cook vacuum lines fairly easily, making them brittle. No problems found? Obtain /rent a hand powered vacuum pump, disconnect the main vacuum feed to the bulkhead, (under hood), attach it to the hand powered vacuum pump and operate the pump. If you have an assistant, have them sit in the vehicle as you operate the pump, WITHOUT the engine running. They should be able to hear the flaps on the airbox open and close. if they cannot hear them operate, there may be a vacuum leak inside the dash from a damaged line T-piece etc. To double check, start the engine, and operate the vacuum hand pump. Ensuring that you have plugged the vacuum source on the engine otherwise you may have poor starting, and a lumpy erratic idle.

Have your assistant operate the heater controls whilst you operate the vacuum pump. If the air flaps operate with the vacuum which you supply, and the heater mode directs hot air to the interior of the vehicle, then you have narrowed the problem down to a faulty vacuum feed at the engine supply.

Anti=Freeze enables the boiling point of the coolant system to be raised, and of course, depending on the mix, prevents the coolant from freezing at low temps. Do not mix the Anti-Freeze more than 50% Glycol and 50% water. Odd thing about anti-freeze, if you increase the glycol content, the engine will start to operate at a higher temp, with the usual problems which come with that situation. Certain Anti-Freeze mixtures have additive's included which are kinder to cooling systems which have a high aluminium content. In any case, after two years continous useage, Anti-Freeze properties start to decline and the coolant system requires draining /re-filling with new Anti-Freeze.

Hope that info is of some help.

Freezer not freezing, and the panel between the fridge and the freezer gets very hot

The condensor fan motor is probably not running. The condensor fan keeps the compresor cooled, if the compresor gets to hot, it shuts down until it cools off and tuns back on, but will not keep temp. Heat exchange lines go in the panel between the doors to serve as a heater so the doors dont freeze shut, but when the compresor overheats, so do those lines. That would be why that panel gets so hot. Both problems will be resolved with a new condensor fan motor ( located by the compresor).

Build up of ice on bottom of freez

Check for a blocked defrost drain. Take the panel off at the back of the freezer section and find the small hole at the very bottom center below the cooling coils. Use hot (but not boiling) water and a turkey baster to flush it out until water runs through it. (it will go into the defrost drain pan, where it will evaporate)

48" side by side Monogram center between doors getting very hot

this problem is due to low or no air flow aross the condenser coil on your refrigerator. according to sthe model number you listed I'm assuming this is a bult in unit so the condenser coils are going to be on top of the unit. Here are the steps to check and possibly repair your unit:
  • Open compartment cover on top.
  • check and clean the coils that will be exposed, you can either vacum or blow them out with compressed air depending on how dirty they are
  • there is also a fan that cools this coil, check that it is running. this is probably why it is getting so hot in center post and freezer isnt doing good.
if the motor is bad you can position a regular house fan blowing into the motor compartment and it will get everything back to normal until the unit is repaired.
Fyi: there is a hot gas freon line that runs between the doors that controls exterior unit moisture and when there is poor or no air flow across the condenser coil it causes this area to get extremely hot. There is no fire hazzard tho.
If I can be of further assistance please ask. Thanks Peyton
