Remove the spark plug and pull the stater rope about 10 times. This will blow some of the debris out. If you have an air compressor use that to blow down in the cylinder to clean out any debris left. If not use a can of compressed air like you would use to clean a computer. Now remove the muffler and take it apart and clean the spark arrestor off. Clean any debris and any carbon buildup out of the muffler. If this does not solve your problem which I expect it will, you will need to remove the carburetor and clean it out. Most likely the cause of low power is a clogged muffler.

This may sound strange, but I've seen it work. With air filter off and spark removed, stick hose from vacuum cleaner into engine air intake and turn vacuum on. with vacuun running, manually turn chain saw engine freeing and sucking out debris. Sounds almost idiodic, but sometimes the simplest solution are the best ones.

How to change the fuel filter on an Echo 315

Im going to assume that this echo saw is the same as most saws. Open your fuel tank and remove the cap completely. Empty the fuel from the tank, and try to swirl around the fuel to get the last bit out and any dirt that might be in the tank. Compressed air can be used to blow the tank out or flush the tank with some more fresh fuel. This is important to help your new fuel filter last longer and also the reason why the filter would need replacing. Using a length of wire, coat hanger or smaller, make a small hook on the end, small enough to get into the fuel tank, big enough to fit around the fuel line. Place the hook in the fuel tank and fish out the fuel line and the gently remove the filter from the tank, its on the end of the fuel line. Pull the old filter off and push the new filter on, Place back in the tank, Fit the fuel cap chain and fuel cap. Job done. Hope this helps

I have a Echo leaf blower and I can get it running but then it's cuts off after just a few seconds. It has new plug, air filter and fuel filter. What else could it be?

The carburetor could be dirty and need a good cleaning and you could first remove the fuel pump cover (cover without the vent hole) to the carburetor and look for the small, round, fine-mesh screen. Sometimes it gets covered with dirt and debris and has to be cleaned as it allows the fuel to flow into the metering side of the carburetor.

I would like some advice on how to tune a cs 3400 echo chain saw

Hi, you can't tune these, so if its not running smoothly, check air filter, clean and replace. Check spark plug, clean if necessary and replace. If problem persists it could be dirt in the carbretta, so flush this out with clean fuel, after this, drain fuel tank and replace with fresh fuel, ensure you have the correct mix of fuel.
Hope this helps

How to replace primer bulb on small echo gas chain saw.

I just replaced the primer bulb on my Echo cs-305.
I didn't find the parts list too helpful.

It's easy. All you have to do is remove the air filter and look at the existing bulb from the bottom-- you can reach in with a screwdriver and pop the 'feet' holding it in place off their catches. When I put the new one in, I attached the tubes using a pair of needlenose pliers.

I have an echo chainsaw cs 346 it starts fine revs fine but chokes out when under load if i faether the throttle kinda helps cleaned the carb no different any suggestions

Try rotating the "H" adjustment CCW a small amount.
Carburetor Adjustment by Madsens.com
http://www.madsens1.com/saw%20carb%20tune.htm
CW is leaner; to lean will destroy the saw. If over tightened closed (CW) the adjustment screw faces are easily marred; marred adjustments are difficult to impossible to set properly.
Clean the air filter; adjusting with a dirty filter can cause a run lean condition once cleaned and the saw run.

There are 2 wav (sound - idle & full – may not be highlighted) files that I find most helpful, I think you will too. HTH
