Question about Frigidaire FLEB8200DS Top Load Stacked Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

Washer cycle not starting

I just bought a stackable from Best Buy, FLEB8200FS1. I am hoping FLEB8200DS is the same machine. The washer made a loud sound the other day, right before the final spin. It actually went off, I opened the lid, and there was still water in there. I moved the dial closer to the final spin, and the cycle completed. Now when I want to start a new cycle, either colored or whites, there is a humming sound and nothing going on. When I put the dial to the final spin, water comes out, slowly, and when I close the lid, the spin and drain cycle finishes.

Very loud spin cycle

It sounds like the bearings have gone out in the tub. The major cause of this is using powder soap. There is nothing you can do but replace the rear outer tub. This is a costly fix but maybe worth it for a stack unit.

Mle2000ayw Stackable washer/dryer not washing, spinning

If the door lock light is on then is might be the "door lock enable spin switch" the plunger at the opposite end from the wax motor is not fully depressing the switch. In the stackable it is just behing the door lock. Remove the two middle covers (2 white phillips screws and one hex head screw on the middle of lower cover by the wires)to test place a few layers of masking tape on the end of the plunger and cycle the machine. Might also be a weak Wax motor (dark brown in color) to be safe replace both for about $12 each. Fix in 10 - 15 min.

if at all possible disconnect vent from behind machine and run a cycle with wet clothes( lint and moisture will be fllying around whih is why i said if possible) if it works then you know there a restriction in vent line leaving the home. Most problems relate to poor/ innadequate venting!!!!!!
