SOURCE: 010 397 Error Message on Dell 5100cn

The following steps are the troubleshooting steps that should be followed for error code 010 397.
First, the definition of the failure is <IOT Fuser Failure>, and means a Fuser Error is detected.

1) With power off, reseat the fuser by physically removing it from the printer, then reinstalling it and locking it in place. Turn the power back on. ( if the error is still present, proceed to step 2 ).

2) If reseating the fuser did not resolve the problem, Replace the fuser with a known good fuser.
( if problem is not resolved, proceed to step 3)

3) Replace the LVPS ( low voltage power supply ). ( if problem not resolved, proceed to step 4 ).

4) Replace the PWBA MCU ( printed wiring board assembly - machine control unit ).

END of troubleshooting.........

In most cases, the fuser itself is the problem. If you tried to reseat or replace the fuser while power was still on, the LVPS could have been damaged just as if there were an electrical storm.

Hopefully this helped.

SOURCE: dell 3100 error 010-397 restart and reseat fuser roll

We had the same problem. I loosened the levers that hold the fuser in place, and the one on the left side (as you face the printer) came out. When I put it back in, it didn't click into place all the way and the error message came up. I pushed down slightly on the fuser, then pushed the lever toward the back of the unit about as hard as I dared until it clicked back into place. That locked the fuser into place properly and resolved the problem.

Had the same problem and found the removable bottom 250 page feeder assembly to be the culprit. Sorry I did not trace the problem to a specific part on the assembly but was lucky enough to have a replacement unit.

SOURCE: Error 003-343 Dell 3110cn

Open the printer using the button on the side top right. You will see two gray things with arrows going left and right. move them both two where you can take out the piece it is hold in. Pull out the large piece and put it back in. Close the two gray things to lock it back into place. Close the printer and restart it. It should fix your issue. It must of became loose at one point when I was moving so I fiddled with it and turns out that was the issue. It works great now!!

I have a 006-370 code on my dell 3110cn color laser. What is my solution?

that error means there may be moisture condensation inside the printer. Turn off the printer, move it into a warm dry room for a couple of hours and try again. If that does not help, you'll need to call a service tech.

Trying to find the answer to this problem.....Help!@! --can't print 4x6 picture on dell 3110cn

First question:

Does this printer support a paper size of 4x6?

Are you using a 8x10 sheet that you want several images placed on it?

How does the failure manifest itself? For example, do you see an error code on the printer?

You should try to reinstall the firmware update. It was interrupted and that could have led to this problem.
