Have you tried resetting your device?. If not the procedure is clearly shown in your manual. If you have lost your manual downlaod it from the following link and consult page.30.

I have a pretty positive feeling that this will work.
I have reset the device several times...the initial icon pops up and then the screen shuts down!
I have tried this several times, the Garmin logo icon popsm up...then the screen goes blank!
Try updating your device with the latest software. Following is a link.

If that doesnt work out aswell, then i think you should contact Garmin service center.
