Question about Acer Aspire 5720-6661 Notebook PC
He erecovery cd it is asking for will be for the old O/S that you had. This can also be actioned by at startup time by keeping ALT key down and repeatedly pressing F10 key as long as you have not destroyed your recovery partition which I doubt.
With your Windows setup dvd in your cd/dvd drive make sure that it is the first boot device by setting in Bios or by pressing F12 at startup (Logo displayed) and selecting the cd/dvd drive.
This should now start the setup procedure from your windows 7 disk.

Hi, I would suggest that you call the acer tech support hotline for assistance and you could ask them for a another copy of the recovery cd. or try again reformating your system and do a clean install using the windows 7 disc that you already have. hope this helps
