Protect means that there's a short on a speaker exit. To find in which just remove the speakers one by one till the message disappear. If it's there even without all the speakers then the fault is internal, in one of the amplifiers - the unit must be dismantled and the parts checked by someone who knows electronics, a professional.

Keeps going o protect how do i stop ths?

First, if you can, try checking all of your speakers and speaker wires for shorts and or grounds. If the speakers and wires check out fine, try resetting the radio. This can be done by pressing the reset switch, which is either an unmarked depression about the size of a pencil tip on either the face or the subpanel behind the face. If there is no reset switch, you can reset the radio by disconnecting the car battery for a few seconds. If the radio still stays in protect, you may have a bad output IC.

My system wont stay on i turn it von and 2 vseconds later it turns itself off again

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

My stereo won't work. Whenever I try to turn it on, it always turns off saying "protect." How can I fix this?

The protect has come on because it senses an output load problem, Turn the unit off, unhook the speakers and wires from the stereo, now turn the unit on and turn the volume down as far as it will go, this should reset the processor ic, if the word protect stays off you have a short in the wiring or bad speaker. If the protect comes back on with everything unhooked the problem is in the audio output ic pack in the stereo and will require a technician to remedy.

Laptop wont stay on

ok. first insert the power cable and remove the battery and try starting the computer. If it still goes off when windows is loading then its a virus and reinstalling the windows would be the solution but if it continues to windows then its from the battery.

Tv wont turn on get audio then tv shuts off timer lite blinking

If TV stays in stand by with audio but no video, then common faults are the ballast board, or a fault on digital board.

If the led stays blinking , and tv turns off then the TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

I have a samsung DVD Home Theater System HT-WX70. My son put a cd copy in the DVD player and PROTECTION flashed on the player and it turned off. I turned the player back on and took the cd out. ...

If it is, the protection message usually meant either a speaker had blown, or more commonly a wire to a speaker had come disconnected or broken/shorted.

Try unplugging the speakers one at a time, and if you have a set of speakers of the same rating to try, try plugging them in as you remove the originals (obviously doesn't need to be done in the setup positions in the room, just have them beside the player to check it works.)

This might then identify which speaker or cable is the problem one for you to replace or repair.

If this is the speaker overload/short mesaage as I think it is and the above doesn't cure it, it would appear the amplifier board has a short somewhere and that's an electronics engineer job time
Hope it helps!

Display screen says protected

By your description it looks like an internal protection has tripped. The reset will not work if the unit is fried. Did this happen when you were pushing the unit really hard or distorting it? You may have to have it repaired, or replace it. Repairs can sometimes take a couple of months so be wary of this.

Amp staying in protection mode

No, this amp is not a heavy power consumer- matter of fact it takes very little power to run.Maybe you should check the fuses on the amp to see if they are what is recommended. Also check your fuse kit to your amp- your fuse might not be big enough. If neither works take it back where u got it.
