Sony cybershot t300 lcd screen remains dark when switched on

Hi,
Your camera must be experiencing these symptoms due to a faulty CCD, and not due to other problems. If the problem is due to your dropping the camera, you might be out of luck.
If you have not dropped your camera and still facing this problem, then contact service people to replace the CCD imager in your camera .

Hope this helps .

I dropped my camera 2 feet & now the screen just has lines on a black background. the menu & such still show up perfectly fine. So does the pictures already on the camera

Hi,
See your photo on computer. you may not get lines. On primary instance it seems that due that **** your LCD screen has been stop working properly, I such case your photo will not be affected at all. Changing the LCD screen will solve your problem..
If your photo has line.. then sorry you have to get it serviced and this will cost you a lot....
Hope this has helped you. Please rate the answer.. Thanks....

Lines on screen and photos, too bright photos outside

Lines across your pictures or pictures too bright are due to the shutter not closing correctly or at all.
to check this- turn camera on, turn off flash, turn camera around and look into the lens. Adjust the zoom so that the shutter and internal lens comes up to the end of the lens and whatch as you take a picture. You should see the shutter close completely over the lens. If it doesn't move or does not close over completely then there is your problem.
If camera was dropped it could have jammed the shutter open or obstructed it in some way from closing completely.
camera will require repair/ service.
You may have some luck if you power up and down your camera numerous times before taking a picture. The action of the lens opening and closing may free the shutter.

Blue vertical line on LCD screen

Thus meaning what display on the LCD is exactly what "enters" through the lens. Is this a hairline or thick line appearing on the LCD and does the same happen on the photos/pictures when they are downloaded on a PC? If so "something" could have infiltrated into/onto the camera lens....

Lines across the LCD screen

Two things can cause lines across the LCD either horizontal or vertically. The first (and most likely) is a small crack in the display wafer. LCD stands for Liquid Cristal Display. They are very fragile and can be easily damaged if dropped. I broke one in my pants pocket.

The second would be if a pin on the ribbon cable (to the LDC wafer) was not making good contact. If you disassemble the camera it is possible to clean the contacts using contact cleaner (or alcohol). Only attempt this is you are willing to replace the camera if you don’t put it back together properly.

Canon a80 camera

It seems that either the image sensor or the connection between the image sensor and the processing board has been damaged or was improperly installed. If you sent it in because the lens was jammed it is highly likely that this is what has happened. See if you can get the facility who repaired it to cover the re-do, in the end it is their fault if your CCD is defective now and was not before the repair. However - if the camera was non functional after you dropped it they could very well say that the impact caused the problem. You might have no options besides either dealing with the issue or replacing the camera. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

Static or lines running across viewfinder

Do they transfer when you upload the pics? Usually, on these models, when you get the funny lines on the screen and/or in pictures, it's the main PCB in the camera that is faulty. Unfortunately, Fuji's parts costs are out of this world. Call them up to get a flat rate repair. Sorry
