SOURCE: Vtech phones loosing connection to base
You are pretty close to the solution. The problem is the charge detection in the handset. All handsets on a cordless phone detect the battery level with an hexadecimal value in the memory. Each hex value equal a volt value of the battery. EX: 3.5v = 9B
3.6v = 9C 3.7v =9D etc... The problem is the hex value in your defective handset are all mess up. So 9B is not 3.5v anymore. Then your handset could last 1hr after foul charge or doesn't alert you before the phone goes dead due to low BAtt.

Well,
I solved the problem for my L6. IT appears that somehow the phone is software dependent. Meaning that you need to have the Motorola Software for the phone installed in your computer, connect the phone and voila! At least it solved my problem. All of a sudden it charged automatically and I can now charge with the power adapters too. (Yes I too went and bought a different charger, then when it didn;t worked I got a different battery..etc.) just give it a try. I think you can get it for free online somehow, just google it.

Try to turn on the Keyboard.
There's a switch in the right side of the Keyboard.
For more information download the User Manual at Logitech Site

That usually indicates battery is beginning to go bad. Eventually it will not hold a charge and will need to be replaced.

It sounds like you might have a problem with the filter, if you get noise once you plug into the ADSL box. Unless the ADSL box has a filter in it.
The ADSL box cannot be filtered but the phones must be filtered. Try another filter. You should be able to get one from the ADSL provider or buy one in a store or online.
The green white wire is the third pair ow wires. I am guessing that it is on your station wire side and is not in use. Try the filter first.
