Two cables (Wires) connect to the Wireless module, go through the body of the laptop, up into the Display Assembly, and to a wireless antenna.

I reset my surge protector and the computer wont power up. i think i need a new power supply. the power cord is working fine. Please let me know where i can find a power supply for the aspire...

The Acer Aspire L100 is a desktop computer powered by a special DC adapter and power cable. The computer's motherboard incorporates a fuse designed to prevent any power surges from damaging the computer. If the fuse burns out due to a power surge or for any other reason, the computer will no longer function. You can check the motherboard fuse for damage yourself, then take it to a trained technician for replacement if needed

Shut down the Acer Aspire L100 and turn the tower around.

Press the "On/Off" button on the front of the tower. If the computer will not boot and the fan does not turn on, the fuse may be burned out.

Unplug the power cord from the rear of the tower

Turn the tower on its side and remove the Phillips-head screws connecting the back panel to the Aspire L100's cabinet.

Pull out the motherboard assembly gently from the back of the cabinet. The internal fuse is located on the motherboard behind the DC power jack, which is to the right of the monitor jack

Let me know if this helped..

    Acer aspire 1642 frozen mouse

Connect an external USB mouse to get at least the cursor to work, then download the latest touch pad drivers from Acer's site

Check that you have not disabled the mouse pad (FN and F7?)

If that fails, you may need to dismantle the laptop and check the small ribbon cable that connects the touch pad to the motherboard has not come adrift.

After that it looks like physical failure of the trackpad / touch pad assembly

I have a acer 3680 where is the motherboard on that is in the front right coner of comp

the motherboard is approximately 60% of all the space under the keyboard and top cover assembly. Only the battery, hard drive and cd/dvd drive make up approx. the rest.

I believe this is the question you were asking.

Mass assembling computers using power screwdrivers. What torque?

Ive personally never used power tools to attach the motherboard to the mounts, but you will want to use the lowest possible torque settings as to not crack the motherboard. The screws need to be snug nothing more.

Be careful as many problems can arise from doing this.

    Thank you for trying Fixya!
