Question about Samsung CLP-550N Laser Printer
My school has a CLP-550N that works well with Mac OSX 10.3.8 but we cannot print from 10.4.7 The printer is networked and the 10.4.7 machines can see it but files just pile up in the print queue. Any ideas?
Don't know if this would work:
"I have one and have just finished preliminary testing. I have a CLP-550N and use the network port to connect the printer to our wired network. Using Bonjour (a.k.a. Rendezvous) does not work. I can successfully setup the printer, but it will not print. LPD, however, does work fine. You may need to reinstall the PPD files from the CD, or download them from there (sic) website." Brad Scheider reports: "Samsung no longer supports a CLP-500 driver. But I've found that the CLP-510 Driver works in Tiger and fixes many problems I had with the CLP-500 driver on Panther. Works great now."
