Question about Yard Machines Garden
I have a Yardmachine 21A-121R900 tiller that was given to me in a not running state. I have rebuilt the carb and got it running at this point, but it is difficult to start. I suspect, since I am not the first one to work on it, that the fuel line routing may not be correct and might be causing some of my starting problems. The engine is a 6MTDS.0314MR:EM and has a regular line to the carb from the tank and also a line to a starting primer. Any ideas where I can get info on this engine?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Tiller won't stay running
Hmmmm.....it sounds like restricted fuel flow to me, but explain "rebuilt the carb" so I can get an idea on what you did.
Though it sounds right off like you whooped it good and got the basics.
Right off, go back through the "system", check the fuel flow, check that spark on the plug. Eyeball for any loose wires (E.G., Kill Switch, etc.) that are grounding (you never know!)
Stick to KISS on this one, since it ran before the carb got bad and got rebuilt, it will be one of those things you replaced, rebuilt, or changed. Sometimes, it is the SMALLEST thing......

most trimmer fuel lines run from line in tank with pick up filter to bottom of carby then out of top of carby to inlet on primer usually the smaller tube then out of the longer tube on the primer and back to the tank.

The Walbro has two connections on it for the fuel line. My Walbro has one connection on the side of the idle screw and main fuel adjusting screw. This connection hooks up to the suction side of the primer bulb. Usually the shorter stem. (You actually **** fuel through the carb instead of pushing it through.) On the other side of the carb is the other hook up. It draws fuel from the tank. This line will connect to the side of the tank that has the filter. The other side of the tank is your return and it hooks to the other connection on the primer bulb. Usually the longer stem.
