Hello nee_bhatia

This is the email address I have for contacting Yahoo! security regarding a password reset.

Contact Yahoo! to reset password
Yahoo! Account Security:
account-security-help@cc.yahoo-inc.com

I've run into the same problem b4. Now, I keep detailed records of all my web mail accounts - including the registration information I used for each one of them. Sometimes we have to learn the hard way. I sure as hec did! :P

I will warn you, they are slow to respond and once they do respond, they are extremely vigilant about making you provide all the information you used when you created the account.

I think you'll find the information HERE more useful and faster. Go ahead and submit the request to Yahoo! Security then, follow the recommendations on THIS page. If you need any help at all, just let us know.

You will stand the best chance of recovering your Yahoo! password at the computer where you set up the new password last night.

If you use Yahoo! messenger w/ that same user name AND you've used it since you changed your password, then you might be able to recover the password using one of these free password recovery utilities.

If you used Internet Explorer Auto Complete for your new password, then try THIS Protected Storage Password Recovery utility.

Are you by any chance using Mozilla Firefox Internet browser? If so, it saves passwords. You can recover the password from it easily.

HI.I am unable to access my yahoo mail because i cannot remember the answer to my security question.

Forgot My Yahoo! ID & Password
Forgetting your Yahoo! password or ID can happen to anyone, Yahoo! has established procedures for you to retrieve both without having to create a new account.
The password and ID retrieval process is a short and simple one, but you must follow it exactly. The forgotten password process does not give you the password you created when signing up for the account, it gives you a new one, which you can change later.

Forgotten Password

To recover your Yahoo! account password, click on the "Sign In" link from the Yahoo! homepage, which will take you to the "Sign in to Yahoo!" page.
Follow the "I can't access my account" link directly below the yellow "Sign In" button. Select the "I forgot my password" radio button on the next page and then click "Next."
Enter your Yahoo! ID and the code as it is shown and then click "Next."
From the following page, choose whether you want your password sent to the alternate email address or cellular phone number given when the account was created, and then click "Next."
An email is then sent to your alternate email address or cellular phone inviting you to reset your password.
Forgotten ID
From the Yahoo! homepage, follow the "Sign In" link located near the top of the page.
On the next page, click on the "I can't access my account" link directly below the yellow "Sign In" button.
On the next page, you must provide the alternate email address, birth date, country of residence and postal code given when the account was created.
When finished, click on the "Next" button and your ID will be emailed to your alternate email address.
Password Security Questions
If you do not have access to the alternate email address or cellphone number provided when the Yahoo! account was created, you must click the "I can't access any of the above" radio button on the "Please select an option to reset your password" page.
After clicking "Next," you must provide the answers to the security questions selected when the account was created before you are able to reset the account's password.
When All Else Fails
If the Yahoo! account password or ID retrieval methods don't work, you may want to create a new Yahoo! account.
This is done by following the "Sign Up" link at the top of the Yahoo! homepage, next to the "Sign In" link mentioned earlier.
If you choose to create a new account, be sure to remember the alternate email and cellular number you provide in case you find yourself in a similar situation down the road.

Yahoo help center

Many times, you can recover a hacked or compromised Yahoo! account after using on-site password-recovery tools.
The process can take a few minutes to complete, but once you are finished you'll be back in your account.
If the password-recovery method does not work, then you can always contact the security group at Yahoo! Inc. via email.
Of course, you'll need access to a secondary email address to message the company's support team.

Type "login.yahoo.com" into the browser's URL address field.
You are greeted by the Yahoo! account sign in page.
Click the "I can't access my account" link in the box on the right side.
Select the "My account may have been compromised" option from the choice of sign in problems.
Click the "Next" button.
Type your Yahoo! ID and security code on the next page.
Click "Next" to continue.
Select an alternative email address to send a reset link to.
This only works if you previously added a secondary email address.
If not or the alternative email address has been tampered with, then select the "I can't access any of the above" option.
Click "Next."
Answer the security questions on the next few pages.
You will usually have to answer at least two security questions.
Enter a new password and repeat the password when prompted.
Click the "Next" button to finalize the password-reset process.

My email count was damage. I can't sign in . in this case i don't know secret qestion. how car i recuperated my yahoo messenger list ? compromise adress is jean_bbc@yahoo.com

there's no trick out there to recover a lost account in public email engines in internet. try to remember the password or to through the wizard to recover or reset your password. on the login page there's a link that says "i can't access my account" click on that link, and follow the prompts for you to reset the password. if you provide an alternative email address they will send a link for you to reset the password through that other email account.

good luck

Can't sign in on e-mail that we've had for over a year.

Unfortunately, this happened to me last year and I was not able to retrieve my account. What occurred was someone hacked my account and changed the password before I could catch it. Please contact Yahoo Account Services, they will be able to try help you. Their address is account-security@cc.yahoo-inc.com . If you provide them with your account info, they should be able to reset the account and get you back online. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember all my account info, therefore, no help from account services.

Hope this helps,

Have a great day and don't forget to rate

On August 10, 2009, I went to change my password for wbb_scaepa@yahoo.com and was given two questions only I would know the answers to. I changed my password from ''elephant'' to inuyupik'' and typed in...

Hi Jerome,

I checked to see , ans I notived thar Stbeins yahho account Stebbins_ira (with email stebbins_ira@yahho.com) as the password "council". I don't know if this is because she changed it or (which I think happened ) never was changed.

What I also noticed in relation to your Yahoo account wbb_scaepa (with the email wbb_scaepa@yahoo.com) was that the password "inuyupi" is set, but the data on your ID account was of Stebbins Ira (greeting name, name, adress, ***, age, etc), not yours. Therefore, anyone accessing your account would think it was accessing Stebbins' account. That is fixed.

Now, I urge you both Jerome and Stebbins to CHANGE IMMEDIATELY YOUR PASSWORDS, since at this moment everybody knows them, and can access your account, view or send emails in your name or even get hold of your accounts by changing the passwords.
So, do it now.

After changing the password, Sebbins might have also to change the password for the email account in Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail or any other e-mail program she is using to access her email from her office.

If she is using Outlook Express or Windows Mial, for instance, she would have to open the email program, go to Tools/Accounts..., then Select the Yahoo account (stebbins_ira@yahho.com), click on Properties, tehn on Servers tab and change the password to the new password.
Then, she will be able to access the e-mail both through Yahoo pages (webmail) and through her office's email program.

So, once again, change immeddiately your password.
