There is no driver available on the manufacturer site ..but if you have a ieee fire-wire or a usb cable for connection you can try to import from the camera into windows movie maker (windows built program) cause in this case I suspect that no driver is needed..
Also if your camera uses a card for storage you can actually just connect it ..and look in the my computer folder to see if the card is seen as a removable device ..and the videos are stored there ...if so ..just copy them into computer ..
Also if you use a card for storage ..but the card is not seen via usb cable ..just insert the card into a card reader..and retrieve the files..
Anyway ..they do not supply any driver ..so I guess it may be built in windows..or ..needs a capture card ...or manager ..

Like I said there isnt any driver available even for xp ..not just for w7 and on 64..thats why I sugested another trick ..see what other posibilities you have to connect it ..try a fire wire cable..if it has one ...and try to capture the videos using the windows movie maker..I will link a movie about capturing from a tape camera ..and I guess it is just a matter of signal and should work for digital too..
but it supposed to be on a firewire cable (IEEE 1394) ..or ..my guess is that it may work with the suitable software or a smart player to get signal from the RCA cable and capture them into the computer ..I will look for the driver ..but not even on their support site they do not reffers at such things ...Other companies have downloads available ..not this one ...

take a look on this one ..this is wht I reffered to ..only that this one uses it to get from a tape not a dv ..but if you play the video .in the camera .and use a firewire cable ..the windows movie maker it may be able to capture it ..like a aux signal..

as a last resort use a paid driver detective ...or an manager I seen them used with succes on several dv'es and even used like webcam..with them

OK..here is what I managed...I found this driver but it is only suitable for up to windows xp ...cause the camera model is older ..and from what I understood has no memory card (even if similar models like 30 and 77 have )so ..the only option to manage this camera is to use it in a xp computer to download and than move it to yours...or ..install windows xp on your computer as a dual boot..and boot on windows xp only when you need to use such devices with no drivers..it s easy to do ..just run from a boo-table disk and install in other partition ...and when you will boot you have choices to set the primary one ..or to choose in which one to boot..
    this is the driver

Need drivers for jvc gr d33u camcorder

Hi,
You don't need a driver to transfer video to your computer. You do need software that works. You can use microsoft movie make to transfer it. Also here is the user manual for your camera as well:

Transfer movie from mini tape to computer - JVC.....well, hello i found that people have the same problem i do i;ve got this JVC digital camera GR-D770U...and unfirtunately i don't have a software disc...

You can download user manual in PDF format from this link:
http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/JVC/GR-D770U-_E
but that's not a point. The point is that you can use any video editing software (with no driver), that accepts capture mode starting from standard Windows Movie Maker for beginners to CyberLink PowerDirector, Ulead DVD MovieFactory or similar. This can be made by plugging your camcorder to PC via USB or FireWire (iLink, IEEE1394). Of course you can record to Digital Video Unit Equipment (DVD recorder) if you have one. Good luck!

Hi, You should connect using 4 pin Firewire cable to download the video. Also use Windows Movie Maker software.

Here is the issue. Connecting this camera to your PC via USB will only allow you to download the pictures that you have stored on the camera's SD card. To download video to your PC you will need to use a firewire to 4-pin DV cable. If you do not have the software from JVC, no worries as Movie Maker on Windows XP will import video from devices for you. Movie Maker in Vista will not allow importing video or capturing from devices at all, so you will need to get the JVC software if you are oin Vista.

JVC GR-DVL310 VISTA DRIVER

Your JVC is a MiniDV camcorder, which uses a Firewire connection for capture. Firewire drivers are standard for all DV camcorders, and built-in on every version of Windows since about Windows 98SE (well, they didn't work very well until Windows 2000).

You still need a capture application to complete the transfer. Most (maybe all) versions of Windows comes with Windows Movie Maker, which is a very basic program, but it can do this.

Normally, a DV camcoder can't be detected by Windows until you have it connected via Firewire, and have it the appropriate mode. On some cameras, this can be play or record (the latter would tranfer live video, or allow recording TO the camera), on others, you need to set the camera to a "link to PC" mode. I currently own Sony and Canon camcorders that both work in the former way, but my first DV camcorder was a JVC, and it did have to put in a "link to PC" mode to be detected by the computer. If you can't find the setting, you might want to check your user manual.

For still photos, it looks like you use a USB connection. I haven't found all the details on this camcorder, but this is likely to be a normal USB "storage class" connection. If so, your camcorder would show up like a disc drive, and you can drag photos over. Vista will support this by default, too.

The other way some older camcorders send photos is to appear to the system as a USB scanner type device. You would need a device driver for this, from JVC.

The user manual would be helpful here. You can get one via download if you don't have it:
