    Hi,

there should be a suitable driver on the site compatable with windows xp. the only other option is to find out what chipset you have. possibly VIA. Go to the site of VIA And Download Their 4 in 1 Driver. If you want further information. Please e-mail me.

I,ve done with this site. Too many glitches.

Try driveragent.com, drivers.com, and/or drivershq.com. These sites indicate that a scan will identify the proper drivers for your hardware, and should provide you with the appropriate driver, correcting the issue. I have also often experienced issues with HP support downloads, as the drivers may be incorrect or obsolete.

AMD SEMPRON COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION USED TO PLAY SOUNDS BUT NOW KEEP GETTING AN ERROR 39 IN ALL AUDIO SETTINGS

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)Recommended resolution

Reasons for this error include a driver that is not present; a binary file that is corrupted; a file I/O problem, or a driver that references an entry point in another binary file that could not be loaded.

Uninstall the driver, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the driver.

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.
