Check the receive wire on the plug end of the mike, and the receive wire inside of the mike, just a starting point. ..hope this was helpful.....

I have a galaxy dx 33 hml it was doing fine till it fell off dash , now when I key up its really loud through my talk back, and it squeels . Does anybody know what could have happened?

you may have cracked the pcb board and its shorting out the audio and thus making it squeal. Best to take it to a tech and let them tell you whats wrong .

Ranger superstar 33 no recieve

If you're still getting loud squelch noise but do not receive on any channel, you must check the RF from the antenna to the audio stage(not included). There must be more than just one RF stage in this radio. Let me know what you find.

I would turn do the watts to about 3.5 and that radio should swing.Sounds to me like its trying to but the wattage is stopping it.Experiment with it and find where you want to set it.

Rci 2950 no transmit

check your mic cord to see if you have a broken wire on the inside. You might want to get another mike for a spare but it could also be an audio transister.

Galaxy dx959 will not receive. Speaker is working. S meter is showing incoming signal.

the over power doides may be blown. you should start there .they should be marked D-1 and D-2. you may want to replace them with diodes of a higher rating.

Got an A. P. Hill that will transmit and recieve but, no sound from the speaker or the external speaker jack. I connected my SWR/POWER meter and i get power out but, nothing thru the speaker even with the...

Here is a quick way to test to see if it is the speaker. Use a multimeter and set it to Ohms. Unsolder the two wires off of the speaker and touch the pos terminal on the speaker with the pos terminal on the multimeter on the multimeter. Touch the neg terminal on the speaker with the neg terminal on the multi meter. The meter should spike a bit and might crackle a bit as well. This says speaker is good. So then you know the problem is most likely the Audio Output Transistor (IC) In your radio you will look for IC8 on the board. It will be marked. Looking towards the back of the radio on the right side it will be a fairly long chip. The good news is that you can purchase one and install it if you are handy with a soldier gun.

RUSHING SOUND ?
1. Get the noise then disconnect the coax and see if noise goes away on receive, if noise goes away then address the ground on your antenna,

No sound

It must be a bad internal speaker, but also check the external speaker jack for broken solder. Good Luck
