I cannot take picture because memory card error

The IXUS V2 (Powershot S200) uses a compact flash card. Remove the card and look in its slot. I suspect that you have a bent pin in there. If so, don't fret as there's a good chance that you can fix this yourself, IF you have some patience. See this article and do it very slowly and methodically.

I recently received a Canon Powershot S200 Digital Elph, and When I put the CF card into the slot, every time it is turned on it says CF error. Any way I can fix this?

Did you ever format the card in the camera before trying to use it? This will erase the card so download any pics first using a card reader if necessary. Formatting will get your card working.

My Canon Powershot Pro1 will not accept the memory card. The screen flashes "Memory Card Error" every time I turn it on.

Your camera uses a Compact Flash card so it's asking you to format the card.
Here is a diagram to show you were to go and the process for formatting the memory card

Cant format new 4 mb memory card on PowerShot sd700 is digital elph

If you cannot format the memory card using the format function of the camera, please connect the camera to your computer and use the computer to access your memory card and format fromt the computer.

Alternatively you can also use a memory card reader and connect the memory card to your reader and connect it inturn to your computer and format it from the computer

Canon PowerShot SD 630 Digital Elph "Memory Card Error"

Hi,
I'm sorry to tell that PowerShot SD 630 does not support SDHC cards over 2 gig.
If you want the camera to take a card over 2 gig then you are stuck standard SD cards.
The other camera does support the card because it's a higher model.

Regards.

Flash will not fire on Canon SD780 IS Elph

The flash circuit is defective. As it's only a couple weeks old, recommend just exchanging it for another from your place of purchase. You shouldn't be attempting repair while its under warranty.

I have an EOS Canon 400D digital SLR and my husband has bought me a Sony photo printer DDP-FP75 . I had wanted to be able to insert the memory card but it doesn't seem compatible. Can I print using the...

The two are not immediately compatible. The Canon EOS 400D uses a Compact Flash card. The Sony Photo Printer you have accepts SD and Memory Stick cards. Unfortunately, the CF card and SD card are very different.

The easiest solution I can think of would be for you to get an inexpensive card reader (make sure it accepts Compact Flash cards), attach it to your PC and then use it to read the CF card from your Canon EOS -- and print to your Sony printer.

I hope this helps. If it does, please rate the solution offered. My goal is always FixYa or Helpful, never TFT or IA. Regards,

Player, could you be more specific on the symptoms. Does the image also look blurry on the LCD. Any weird colors? And please reconfirm that you have a Canon SD200 (SD Card) and not an S200 (Compact Flash Card).
