Question about Frigidaire Gallery GLEFM397DS Electric Kitchen Range
My electric Frigidaire Gallery Series Stove is didplaying a small orange/red padlock. All the functions for the ovens work, but the rangetop burners do not, and they display 2 dashes. This happened when I tried to set the clock. i accidentally pushed the loc button (and soem others). If I hold the loc button, the oven door will lock and the display will say LOC and flash "door locked" in orange/red. If I hold it again, the door will unlock and the display will go back to having just the little padlock and the time? Help?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Same problem. Paid for service only to find out that I had to HOLD down the clear button for 3 seconds (not just push it) and it will release the door.

sounds as if there is a problem with the latch assy, there are 2 switches mounted on the latch mechanism for monitoring positon of hte switches, seems as if one has gone bad, not recognizing the door lock positon therfore continues to rotate without stop.part number for the motor latch assy w/switch and bracket 318095957 . located behind rear panel

SOURCE: Cooktop Locked Up!!
Got the same problem.
Here's a work around: Turn breaker off, second person needs to hold the CANCLE/LOCK button (keep holding it!)
Turn breaker back on and keep holding the button, lock feature may turn on, red lock light stays on, KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON. At the end you will get a F11 (shorted keypad) warning. It may take up to 20 seconds or more but in my case the red lock light goes off, the dashes disappear and everything is back to normal.
Now here are the bad news. This does not fix the problem (I think it's the EOC). Every time the power goes off the red lock light and dashes will come back. It also may require to people to fix this/work around... but, hey, it doesn't cost anything either...
