Question about Sharp Televison & Video
Is your tv monitor is lit up?is it a crt tv or a lcd tv?if this model is a crt tv the problem is on the cathode and heater.it is located at the neck of the picturetube..you can see a crt board.it is a small pcboard that is connected to the picture tube by a CRT socket...you can see a label on the on the pins of the connector KR,KB KG.means cathode red cathode blue and green..you can see a pin named h1 and h2 means heater ground and heater positive check wether the heater supply is present.it is supplied by a 3-6v ac...check for open resistors on supply of the heater...if it is a LCD TV,,check the power inverter of the screen backlight,. a backlight is a cold cathode lamp which is supplied with a high voltage coming from the inverter board.inverter board is supply by a 12-24 volts dc...replace the inverter board if there is no high voltage output....tnx

There could be several reasons as to why you have sound and no video
Check the Hori output see if it is shorted,or Bad capacitor,Video IC on crt board,Bad FBT flyback Transfomer depending on which pin feeding high voltage that maybe bad or Low ohm resistor could be open that feeds to the high voltage circuit.
