Question about Olympus FE-210 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My camera is showing that I have 1667 photos on it but it only shows about 30 when I review it or download it. How can I retrieve the rest of them please? Any help would be VERY much appreciated. I am certainly NOT an IT whiz!

Best way is to find suitable card reader for card which is inside your camera, then you can use any PC tools for recovery. It's hard to suggest something special without certain type of card or error messages.

I have a memory card with photos on which I can retrieve onto my computer, but the latest photos show on the camera but are not showing on the memory card.

Perhaps you did hide the pictures. When you hide the pictures, (the ones you don't want to show to costumers) you only get to see them on the computer. To unhide, goto the playback menu look for the line hide pictures and press. Rest must be simple.

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your lost photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options (Pandora, Recuva, SoftPerfect, VAIOsoft, PC Inspector...) that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones. None of these programs will ask you for money, and they have been checked malware/virus free from the well-known linked download site.

Can I recover deleted photos

It's no problem at all to get them back. Do not take any more pictures, and remove the card from the camera to lessen the chance of you overwriting some important pictures or videos. There are VERY many freeware software options available to help you recover your files. Please see this blog article that reviews several of the better freeware recovery programs that you can download. You may need to use a card reader with these programs though.

The camera shows that there is space for only 32 more photos on the compact flash card but the camera is displaying only 30 photos, rest of them cannot be seen and they cannot be downloaded onto the PC....

Not quite sure what you are trying to convey here!

It has 30 photos that you can see
It has room for 32 more...being reported
There are folders showing on the PC or cam.

There are always folders on the camera and they are
Usually given a numeral like 124-355 125-222 etc with a master folder called something like DHMC
try clicking on the folderswith numeraols and seeing what is inside them, possibly more photos.......
You dont say what size card you are using or what mode the camera is in RAW or jpg with RAW you will get less pics per Mb than with JPG...

Thanks for using FIXYA
