I HAVE A SONY KP-FW46M31 PROJECTION TV, LED BLINKS 10 TIMES WHEN SWITCHED ON THEN TV SHUTS DOWN. THERE IS SOUND BUT NO PICTURE?? CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP WITH A SOLUTION. I HAVE HAD ALL BOARDS OUT AND DUSTED THEY ALL LOOK FINE BUT OBVIOUSLY NOT.

read the manual

You can Google and find the service manual which will explain what the 4 blinks means.

If you have the Sony remote with the set off:

Display, 5, Volume down, Power

If the set has it you will see a box appear on screen with a list of items--all should have a zero to the right of each---one with a number indicates the number of times that error has been detected.

Let me know if you have questions or cannot find what the four means and I will research it.

Is the led blinking? If so how many blinks as thats an error code.

If this is a LCD projection then its time for a new lamp. Have your lamp placed.

3 times error shows that lamp is not installed properly or lamp cover is off / not fixed.

If you replaced TV lamp recently then check lamp cover and make sure to seat it properly.
Need further info, let me know.

6 blinks means lamp thermal fuse blowing, replace thermal fuse.

tv comes on then turns blue at that time it shuts down. The power is on and then it blinks 5 times!!!

count the flashes again carefully, as that model should only blink a maximum of 9 times, unless your getting two seperate codes. Try counting and trying to notice if it pauses a second before blinking again. then let me know what you discover.

my sony kp-fx432m91 has a 10 blinks problem. it has no pictures but has sound that goes off after 5 seconds please advice on what to do.
