Print head not showing blue or green in photo, new color cartridge in place same results. All photo have just a red to pink color. question would this be a print head problem?

To clean the printhead:
  1. Press Home on the printer control panel.
  2. Press the down arrow button until Maintenance is selected, then press OK.
  3. Press the down arrow until Clean Printhead is selected, then press OK.

If you want, you could try cleaning the printhead. Follow these directions to remove the printhead: Then try soaking the printhead in rubbing alcohol. After it dries, put it back in and see if it helped.

If that doesn't work, consider buying a new printhead. It looks like they're only $10:

There are long axis print voids. Does the print head need to be replaced?

Before replacing your printhead, try cleaning the printer, run the cleaning card and also clean the printhead using the alcohol saturated swab, zebra part number 105909-169. In some cases that will fix your issue, if not your printhead needs to be replaced. If replacing your printhead, please make sure your card stock are clean and don't have sharp edges as that could be the cause for a scratched/burned pixel on the printhead.

Same one as everyone else apparently-i purchased the kodak aio 5300 three years ago and have had nothing but trouble with it. I had to order another printhead right from the start after spending hours on...

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

I put new ink cartridges both black & color and it does not print. It goes through the motions but a blank page with barely anything shows.

You can look at this webpage for info on the printhead. I expect the print head(s) are blocked. This happens if the unit is unused for a long time or the unit is allowed to run out of ink. This is NOT a thermal printer.
I think you will need ALL new print heads.

What does the third light from the left indicate? I have no manual and can't print one to find out. The blinking just started and now printer will not print at all in any mode.

From the left - Light 1 is ink cartridge, (color indicates which ink) Light 2 is Print head, light 3 is configuration, 4 is cancel, 5 is resume , 6 is power.
Probably it's out of yellow ink.

Here's the HP page for your printer :

The manual is here :

Printer not recognising dpi of new printhead

You have installed the wrong printhead. Check the part number of your original printhead, it was probably a 300 DPI )Dots Per Inch). The image will be stretched at a ratio of 2:3. It will print, I did it the other way around installed a 300DPI in a 200DPI printer. Image shrunk but printer appeared to work.

Labels enlarged

if they are diferent resolutions, ex. you change from 200 dpi to 300 dpi, you need to change something inside the printer like the gears (just reversing the platten roller gear and the the withe gera on the motor) and you are printing on 300 dpi with very small fontes.
