Back light led driver or the led array is faulty. check and confirm the voltage to the led back light from the power supply. normally 35V to 100V according to the brand and model of the tv. Check the voltage if the voltage is somewhere around the above mentioned voltage the then the tv have problem with the led array behind the screen . If the voltage is missing then the led driver is faulty. Normally the led drivers is found integrated to the power supply board. If so then you have to replace the power supply board as a whole. www.electro-medical.blogspot.com
You will need to have the set properly diagnosed to pinpoint the problem. If you have electronics repair abilities, check the capacitors in the power supply to start with. Other than that, you could be looking at a bad inverter, bad CCFL lamp, faulty power supply, or a main board.
It's most likely the four 10v/2200mf caps in the power supply near the primary transformer and if so they will look rather buldged on top. Better to ESR all of them for reliability. Simple fix for a shop and shouldn't cost too much...
When it shuts off does the power light stay on like the unit is still on?If yes,try shining a bright flashlight at the screen and see if you can see any video. If you can your power and main boards are ok.you would then probably need an inverter board or panel. If it is shutting completely off you need a main total assembly since you have already replaced the power supply. The main total assembly is avery common issue on lg lcd tv's.
Make sure there's power getting to the washer. Check for a
tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for
power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the washer, if this is
the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.
Those units usually have a main board that all the functions are centralized on. If the LED comes on then your power supply is operating (at least no shorts). But the main board will most likely be the problem.
