I believe there is a memory of faxes sent, but I'm not sure about the memory capacity. Refer to your manual for the machine- look for something like "History Record", "Faxes Sent", or something similar to that. A co-worker did this on a machine a few years back, and unless the machine has exceeded it's memory, or the memory's been cleared, the date record should still be there.
If the machine is still under warranty, try calling a support line. They can walk you through the steps to retrieve your info. Good luck, hope this helps.

How set to time and date on brother intellifax 2820

Setting the Date and Time
Your FAX/MFC displays the date and time and prints it on every fax you send.
In the event of a power failure, you may have to reset the date and time. All other
settings remain unaffected.
1. Press Menu/Set, 1, 2.
2. Enter the last two digits of the year, and then press Menu/Set.
3. Enter two digits for the month (for example, enter 09 for September, or 10
for October), and then press Menu/Set.
4. Enter two digits for the day (for example, 06), and then press Menu/Set.
5. Enter the time in 24-hour format (for example, enter 15:25 for 3:25 PM),
and then press Menu/Set.
6. Press Stop/Exit.
The LCD now shows the date and time.

How to fix error 990???

ERR (990) ??? I turned it off and back on & still gives me this error code?
Date: January 09, 2009 03:26PM
This is a known manufacturer error. Call Ricoh Direct and talk to someone in Tech Support. If your product is registered with them, they will send you a new printer. You will have to ship the old one back in the same box the new one was shipped to you in, but they provide an RMA # so there isn't any charge.
