Play dvd

Usually a window will pop up and ask you if you want to play it.

Easiest fix is to restart the computer.

If a window doesn't pop up then click on MY COMPUTER on your desktop. It should list your hard drive, your dvd drive, and any others. Just click on the dvd drive.

Have you played dvd's on it before?
Is it giving you an error?
Do you have a software program installed to play it?
Free player download
Is it a factory disk?
Some older dvd players won't play certain formats especially home-burned dvds.

My hd dvd keeps having an error code 408bc509

This is an error code the now defunct format of Hd-DVD players display when the firmware version on them is actually higher then what is supported by the Hddvds you are trying to play. Usually this happens if your running version 3.0 or. 4.0, downgrade to 2.7 and you will not have this code any more.

I put a dvd in and it says no disc in drive & does not suport format. no matter new, old& lens cleaner. What can i do?

Hi,

Could it be the DVD you are playing is a Blue-ray? If not, try using any CD disk that you know is still working. If the drive still can't read the disk then probably the lens in your DVD has a problem already and you might want to have this checked by a qualified technician.

Solutions to incorrect disk error c105 & c104

Hello gjbrokke,

First make sure the disc is compatible with the dvd player (CD-R+ , or CD-R - )

Second make sure the region code of the dvd you burned is compatible with the dvd region settings on your dvd player.

One of those two are preventing the disc from playing in your sansui player.

Your player may only be able to play DVD-format discs. Try converting the video with Nero or WinAvi or DVDFlick to true DVD format.

I have a JVC DR-MH50 DVD/HD recorder and it will only record on DVD-R or DVD-RW not DVD+R or +RW. so check your format of disk you are trying to record on it may be as simple as that.
