A few things to check:
- is it an optical mouse, or does it have a mouse ball? If it has a mouse ball, open it up and clean it out. It may have collected dust and just gets stuck.
- Check to see what your PC is doing when the mouse does not work. It could be that your machine is extremely busy doing something, and this could cause the mouse response to be jittery. Hopefully, it is not a virus, but it could be a virus scanner, or some other scheduled tasks running.
- Check and make sure the mouse cable is securely attached.
- Try replacing the mouse. It may just be a bad mouse.

Run an anti virus programme as that could be a cause also run defrag regularly.
Have you got the latest Windows updates, you will not be able to get them unless you have installed Service Pack 3.
Hope that helps.

Lift your mouse and take a look at the bottom- is there a red light? I'm guessing there isn't, meaning the mouse is either broken or just not receiving power.

If it's a USB mouse you could just unplug it then plug into a different USB port. If it's a PS2 mouse (Round green connector) you'll have to unplug it, re-plug it, then reboot your computer and try again.

If these steps don't work, try borrowing someone else's mouse - if it works, then your mouse must be broken.

Mouse wont work

Replace the batteries; even if the batteries still work, if it is low on power, sometimes the mouse won't work.

USB mouse is jittery

Try the mouse on a different surface, also be sure you do not have any light directed at the mouse - this confuses the eye. Although no mouse pad is required for an optical mouse, sometimes it helps

Need instructions for setting a Sharp watch model # 2092

All the settings seem to go through the start/stop button. If you hold it down for 3 (not 2, not 4, but 3) seconds, it toggles in and out of "set the watch mode". You can tell you are in it because the seconds at the bottom go all blinky. Use (quick press) start/stop to move from seconds, to minutes, to hours, to year, to month, to day. Mode subtracts, reset adds. To set alarms, etc, first put the watch into Alarm Mode (Mode button, again).
Use the reset button to move to the selected alarm (1-5).
Hold the start/stop button for 3 seconds to toggle into "set the alarm mode".
Quick press of start/stop moves between things to set (kind of alarm, hours, minutes).
Mode subtracts, reset adds.
3 second hold of start/stop takes you out of setting mode.

Move Toggle Control Knob (TCK) up (don't turn) until you see "Clock Adjust" on the screen.
Press Toggle Control Knob (TCK) in for more than one second and the time will appear (flashing).
